@gastronimo, Is that possible for you to run that query in PHPMyAdmin and let me know what error you’re getting, or maybe you can contact your hosting provider to check it.

@gastronimo, Did you run a bulk smush or optimised a lot of images already? If not, delete and re-install the plugin to activate and check if that fixes the house.

Else, I’d check your site directly.

Can you possibly deactivate all other plugins and check if the results are same with Smush?

Smush is definitely clean and doesn’t have any sort of mining script or anything like that.

I think it’s not correct way to just test a single image and come to the conclusion, all the plugins are using different algorithms to get the maximum savings while keeping the visual quality same.

If for some reason Smush is not optimising to maximum extent I’ll definitely look into it.

Also, it’d be nice of you to drop us further results in case you test more images.

Hey @barblie, The error is mostly related to your hosting provider, can you please drop them a mail and check what they have to say about it.
