In addition to what @ahtan1 suggested, go to your site menu settings as there are restrictions options there as well.

Maybe a glitch of sorts.

Maybe the meta_key was used elsewhere, but I don’t know why it would let you create it again.

Have you (re)checked your settings?

UM – settings – general – users – profile permalink base – (drop to what you want) – save

This happened to me a few times when I first started using UM. My suggestions are:

1) Check you don’t have required profile and/or cover photo enabled. Also check user permissions (even if its unticking/reticking)

2) Delete the user and start fresh

3) Go back through every box on the form and check permissions (e.g. required), and even if you don’t make any changes, click update not cancel on each box . Once you’ve gone through everything update the form.

4) Delete the form boxes that could be causing the issue – likely ones with required responses.

5) Theres are probably other solutions I can’t think off

Try these two things:

1) Check the visibility tab in the edit field. It should be visible everywhere by default unless you’ve changed it.

2) take a screenshot of the edit page, delete the box and create a new one using the screenshot data. You’ll need to create a new meta_key though.

The value box is case sensitive. For example

“Show” if – “title” – “equals to” “Individual or family”
