Uncanny Automator

Hi @jglass , it looks like this was addressed fully via support ticket with an update to one of our integration files.
For anyone else looking at this ticket, we made a change on the Automator side to allow using tokens for billing and shipping country fields that will be included in an upcoming release.
Hi @tony-s , thanks so much for your kind review! We’re so glad our team and plugin have been helpful to you.
Hi @thejoshie , since it’s been over 3 weeks, we’ll go ahead and mark this as closed, but if you are still having any issues you’re welcome to reopen the discussion.
Thanks!
Hi @supportteam2020 , sorry to hear about the issue.
Our team did want to confirm what roles you were using in your test and also what versions of WPForms you’re using. And are you using any plugins to add support for multiple roles per user?
We ran a test case on our site with the latest version of WPForms Lite and a user not not linked to admin roles and it worked as expected. (We do intentionally exclude admin users from the role change action because it could produce some bad results.)
Hi @briansmith86 , we did want to follow up again on this review, because you have left us with a 1 star rating related to a support issue that doesn’t seem like it was submitted to Uncanny Automator. We haven’t seen any follow-up either and would very much appreciate being able to provide feedback.
Hi @noelawill ,
Thanks so much for the kind words! We’re glad we could help, and the token you suggested will help a lot of our LearnDash users.
Thanks @adamcengel , we really appreciate the review. We’re glad Automator has been a useful tool for you!
Hi @briansmith86 , can you confirm how you contacted us? Did you get a confirmation email from our autoresponder?
We would never let a ticket to without any response for 3 days. Can you provide any more details at all so that we can look at this further?
Just to confirm, this definitely applies to automatorplugin.com and you send an email to [email protected] or logged something on our site? I checked our logs and we have no reference to anyone with a similar name.
Hi @pubuse19 , we do understand where you’re coming from and that the action can’t deliver what you hoped. There are still many great uses for it though in the free version:
When a user completes a course, add a tag.
When a user logs in for the first time, add a tag.
When a user user fails a quiz, add a tag.
When a user makes a donation, add a tag.All are scenarios that work in the free version. (“Everyone” recipe types have more restrictions with actions because the free plugin can’t create users, Pro is needed for that.)
Anyway, we very much appreciate you changing the stars assigned to the review and I’ll have our team push a copy update that tries to make this more clear in the next release.
Hi @danidub , thanks so much for the update! Keep us posted if anything else does come up (though if it’s on the Uncanny Codes side, maybe you could post to our Help Desk on uncannyowl.com, that way it’s easier for the developers associated with that plugin to see the ticket and respond directly).
We will note too that the message you quoted even says how to use this action in the free version: “If you don’t want to upgrade now, you can add this action to a recipe that runs only for logged-in users.”
As you can see, the feature is definitely available to free users, just not in the way you hoped.
If you can point us to any factually incorrect information in our website or elsewhere, we’re happy to change it, and we’re happy to provide assistance.
Hi @pubuse19 , sorry about the delay getting a response to you, it was unfortunately a holiday weekend here.
Your statements above are incorrect. You can absolutely add tags to users in the free version when it’s a logged in recipe type.
You received the message above because you are using an Everyone recipe type, perhaps because you’re trying to trigger it via anonymous form submission.
If you can tell us more details about the recipe we’re happy to provide feedback, but there are absolutely no lies on our website or in the marketing materials. Once you have reviewed our feedback, we hope you’ll revisit your rating for the plugin.
Hi @danidub , we followed up on the Help Desk ticket you logged and hope to get more feedback there. We do want to make sure you’re using the latest version of Uncanny Codes and we need to find out more about how you’re redeeming codes and what’s outputting the error. Thanks!
Hi @thejoshie ,
Sorry to hear about the issue. On our side, based on the URL provided, I can see Google returning 403 errors, which suggests that not all checkboxes were checked when you connected your Google account to Automator (you can disconnect from the Settings > Premium Integrations page and then reconnect, making sure to check all 4 boxes). Is the 502 returned by your site or Google? My suspicion is that it might be your site, perhaps because of resource limitations or a timeout (Google calls can be a bit slower).
It would be really helpful if you could open a ticket on our website and include the System Report under the Automator > Tools menu. There’s sensitive data there so submitting a ticket is preferred.
You also mention that other test automations have failed. Are these related to Google too? Screenshots of a sample recipe with all details expanded would definitely help here.
Thanks
Hi @swingtownrebels , thanks so much for the kind words and taking the time to write a review!
