Ok, now I just found a “index.php” file in my wp-content directory.

Inside it reads “Silence is Golden” Thats it. I deleted it.

Looks like I’ve been hacked.

PHP into HTML? This should be possible, I just do not know what code to throw in.

You mean a banner ad in your header? Some themes make that easy, others do not, but it is always possible. What theme are you using?

Sign up for an Adsense account. Then I would install the AdMan plugin, there are others also. Once you get the code for an ad through Adsense, you just paste it where you want it. It is actually pretty easy.

I am also having this problem.

I would start with deleting the entire content of your .htaccess file, then making sure your permalinks options are set to what you are looking for. If wordpress has write access to .htaccess, which it most likely does, it will rewrite it the way it wants.

Maybe use some HTML code, inserting line breaks, <p> </p>, into that text widget, then entering whatever you plan to.

Mandigo! I love this theme. It has a theme options tab which lets you set very many layout options. It also lets you change the colors.

You can do this in your write page. Near the bottom there is an Upload option that allows you to browse to a file. Browse to your picture, click upload, choose if you want to display the thumbnail or full size, and click send to editor. It will place it where your cursor left off. You can resize or move the picture.

I use Windows Live Writer now though, it is a bit easier to insert pictures.

Yah it is slow. I wouldn’t blame wordpress, my site is loaded and is fast. I use MediaTemple as a host. It’s your host, or your host is located in Timbuktu as I am in the middle of the States. Thats my guess.
