In reply to: [Scripts To Footer] ‘The Social Links’ Plugin Fails…thanks for replying. i did have the jquery in header option active as the site broke without it. i’m pretty sure I also tried a filter for that sortable module too. i had to remove the social links plugin anyway as i couldn’t find a solution here – i switched it for a similar plugin that works with your one fine.
I have no idea why the URLs point to that wp-admin address, but it is the URL that is present for products in their ‘show more’ button in both the standard wordpress shop themes that i have just tested. I did though, find that other product URLs are not formed in that way. The other URL format is the correct one, e.g.:
https://www.myshop.org/shop/product/beach-towel-3/(n.b. I have wordpress installed in a subfolder of my main website presently, but will move it to it’s own domain soon.. which is why there is a ‘shop’ folder at the start of the folder path for the URL).
In any case, this other URL also fails with the permalinks set to ‘Post Name’. I think I need to report this to the woo commerce team and see what they say.
i see, ok – yes, having the images in the media library will at least allow them to be added to yoast manually.
ok great, thanks – i’ll check out V1.1 when it is ready. I’m not sure what the ‘freeze’ feature is.
oh, i just saw that your first post was edited and that in the original version you added this text that actually helps me resolve the issue:
“The default, as it is now, is the first enabled colour. So, if you disable the colours that are not appropriate for your design, the one that gets selected as default should be appropriate”
not sure why you removed that, but using your pointer that i can enable/disable different colours, i have been able to get the correct colours listed in my shop’s adverts. i didn’t realise i could click to ‘tick’ or ‘untick’ each colour.
I see ok, I don’t really understand why the code would be designed to not allow the advertising of black designs, for example – that cannot be seen on the default black t-shirts and hoodies (and are thus unable to be seen and sold in the shops). In any case, I appreciate your quick and clear responses here.
Thanks for replying here. I see, that is unfortunate as I’m not sure I can use your services until that bug is fixed. Do you have an ETA for it?
aha, ok – thanks. i have no way to verify the merchant id as it is not my account, but i have used the email address and it is all working fine now.
