It is working now, thanks for remembering to notify.
Hi @kokkieh
That was my understanding as well before @macmanx suggested the following,
By default, Testimonials are displayed in order by date added, with the most recent first.
Thus I removed order=DESC from the shortcode. Now I have changed the shortcode back to
[testimonials columns=2 order=DESC]
and it is giving the results I was looking for.As
[testimonials columns=2 order=DESC]
was the shortcode I was using when I opened this support topic, thus I checked the history and guess what, I was using[testimonials columns=2 order:DESC]
with : instead of =, chk out my first query.I made this mistake because it is mentioned like “order: “ at https://en.support.wordpress.com/testimonials-shortcode/#attributes and I just copy pasted it without realizing that it should have been changed to order=DESC in the shortcode.
Thanks @lizkarkoski, @macmanx and @kokkieh for your support, it came out to be a silly mistake on my part.

Yes, as per @macmanx recommendation, I have changed the shortcode to [testimonials], with no column declaration but that also did not fix the order.

I am using the Shortcode block of Gutenberg to enter the shortcode, screenshot: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1foagojP5G-EGwz8b6E2IfDczCCwy5cOB
I have changed the shortcode to [testimonials] but still, the order is wrong, you can have a look at https://theclearevidence.org/feedback/
https://theclearevidence.org/testimonial/ is the testimonials archive page, generated by JetPack automatically, with latest post at the top, its not generated by a short code.
As what I need is the default order of the shortcode thus I have changed the shortcode to [testimonials columns=2]
And I have cleared the WP Rocket’s cache. Still, the order appearing here https://theclearevidence.org/feedback/ is not the order which is appearing here https://theclearevidence.org/testimonial/
And what made me think that it is not the issue of the cache is the fact that if I change the number of columns in the shortcode, I can see the change immediately.
I have cleared WP Rocket’s cache as well, let me know if you are still unable to see the testimonial on https://theclearevidence.org/feedback/
That is strange, can you see all testimonials on this link: https://theclearevidence.org/testimonial/
Hi @macmanx
That’s exactly what has been done, plz see the testimonials on the page, above the comments section. If it’s still not clear then you can take the example of the following testimonial, it should be at the top but its not:
“I will INSHALLAH contribute and spread this cause. 12-03-19
― Zahid Nisar”
Hi @lizkarkoski
The following testimonial was created the last, thus I would like it to appear at the top:
“Masha Allah…. Nice step. May Allah help this mission become a ” Sadqa Jaria” for all those who are involved and supporting this noble cause. 12-03-19”
Hi @erikterwan
This is exactly what I have been looking for, I wanted to have a dedicated feedback page where visitors can leave comments about suggestions, ideas, issues etc. Such a page would have been of no use if the visitors won’t be able to receive email notifications about responses. Your workaround solution worked for me.
If you find any better solution then plz share, it will be of great help!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks for your prompt reply, if I add accordion on a new post or old post, I get this error, I checked the panel(tabs) block and it was working fine. I deactivated and deleted the plugin and reinstalled again but still the same, I also deactivated other accordion plugins, which I was testing, but still the same.
