I have this issue too.

The styling in the Stripe admin is broken and the modal is inaccessible in the bottom left of the screen.

I see this thread is a month old, is there any comment from the plugin author?

That would explain why they are not working, I do not have the follow-up extension installed, I mistakenly thought these variables were part of core.

Just one follow up. There is an implication that there are email placeholders in core; {site_title} is obviously one as it’s in the default Subject. I don’t seem to be able to find a list of these, can you point me at the documentation. Thanks again.

No, as I say, I reduced the install to the default theme and only woocommerce as plugin.

I am using email variables as per this article; https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/automated-follow-up-emails-docs/email-variables-and-merge-tags/

Only the {order_number} appears in the email not {customer_name} or {customer_first_name} , nothing appears in the payment method instructions (As in “Please quote {order_number}

I’m testing them in the Order on-hold email. The Woocommerce part(order details etc works OK but inserting the merge variables in the additional content text field is, at present, resulting in {order_number} working but {customer_name} and {customer_first_name} not working

In the webpage /checkout/order-received/ inserted through the Payment Method Instruction field none of these three work.

Don’t work as in they output the literal, eg {order_number} rather than the value
