In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] 3.9.0 Update Broke my Podcasts displayThank you for your support. I updated, cleared cache at the WP and browser level, and now they’re showing up as normal. ??
Okay, thank you @zahardoc. I was able to make the appropriate changes you recommended in my .htaccess page (with a little help from cGPT) and everything seems to be working just fine. Marking as resolved! ??
@zahardoc My web host sent me this as a potentially better solution at the plug-in level. Would this be possible to integrate on your side?

Thank you very much, @zahardoc, this is super-helpful!

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Feed reporting File size: 0.0MBI was looking at my episodes that turned up null (0.00 MB), and those don’t even have a filesize_raw field.
I saw that I could add one, but how do you manually calculate the filesize_raw?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Feed reporting File size: 0.0MBYou’re not alone. I’ve had this issue since the WordPress Core update last Dec that took the SSP plug-in by surprise. I spent weeks (of failed release schedule) trying to figure out what was wrong. Thankfully the feed is working, but I cannot since the WP Core update, get my plug-in to automatically calculate file size (like it used to…I now get WordPress 404 page on Publish), and henceforth my RSS shows all subsequent episodes as 0.00 MB which can be a real problem for some pod-catching apps.
I hope this is fixed in an upcoming update. I know there’s awareness around this issue.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] SSL redirecting to not secure on /podcastThanks Falk! How do I fix the 0.00 filesize thing? I don’t remember changing the way I do things on my end.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] feed missingVery weird. Your feed validated on castfeedvalidator.com, however there was an Error generated that says: This XML document is invalid, likely due to invalid characters. XML error: syntax error at line 1, column 62
Here’s a help page that came up when I ran it through w3.org feed validator: https://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/error/HttpError.html
Sorry I can’t be of more help. Hopefully one of the authors of the plug-in can chime in.
Yes, for some reason (perhaps because I disabled/re-enabled) it started working.
Thanks for follow up!

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] feed missingHey Juanma,
The recent WP update messed up “WP Core” and thus the way it interacts with SSP.
Update your feed in iTunes connect to yourdomain.xxx/?feed=podcast. Then use your “Mirror URL” for other services like “Stitcher”, “Google Play”, etc. You’ll have to manually contact them to change it. In the future, you only have to change your URL (if need be) and not hit these services up every time.
Also, be sure you have one regular post published (you can hide it after publishing). This was also another requirement that WP added for SSP to work.
Hope it helps at all!
Jason
