To add to the info, I see the suggestion to update the permissions to 7 7 7. That concerns me, since if I understand it correctly, that could open up site to anyone.

I am getting the same error as simon3dartvision when he opened this topic. I am running version 4.9.8 and I do not see any place in the Settings/Media section to specify a destination for my files. I am attempting to upload photos that are small in size.

I was able to do this prior to changing themes. That is the only thing that I can think of that has changed. Below is the exact error message. Any help would be appreciated.

Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2018/11. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Lisa – it simply shows blogBox…..not sure about the bold-ghost etc….I am still poking around.

Lisa – thank you – I will look at the theme info. To be honest, I am not sure what the theme is, but I will be looking and will reach out to the theme team if needed. Thanks again.
