I will keep that in mind.

    Thanks for everything!

I did get the RSS removed. I went into the footer and removed it there.

Not sure if that was the best way or not but it did work. I probably got that completed right before you got there because I haven’t had that accomplished for long……

But the CSS you provided worked perfectly, thank you.

Yeah, his name is in the title. But the complete title is not showing.

    Anyway the link is https://kevin-test.site90.net/

    Thanks for the reply!

Thank you very much for the examples. And for the link to the page.\

    Both are extremely helpful.

Thank you for the reply! I have tried four different themes and they all acted the same as far as trying to remove the discussions through the admin panel. Any clue why this behavior?

Second, could you give me an example of the conditional tags that I could use to circumvent this?

I hope I am not asking too much here but appreciate any help that you can give.

In your response above you said to comment out the comment in the file.

    Hi,

You can comment out this line too.

    <?php comments_template(); ?>

    From your single.php and page.php

    Thanks
    PD

The question I have about this is I want the comments turned off on most pages, and I am having the same problem with getting rid of the comments that rdader had. If I do as you suggest above, will I be able to allow comments on a specific page or will this disable comments for all of the pages?

Sorry about hijacking the thread but I did have this question. ??

It doesn’t seem to matter where I get the theme from. I have tried 5 different themes getting theme from different places.

However, I found a workaround. I just unzip the theme and upload it to the themes folder.

Not ideal but I can get everything done that way.

I actually saw something right after I tried your suggestion, which worked.

I went into the theme setting (Appearance > LightWord Settings) and there is a checkbox that says ” Check this box if you would like to DISABLE COMMENTS on pages” and removed the check and it works! I never bothered to check the setting for the actual theme. I would also think that the individual settings for the pages would over ride these settings but apparently they do not.

Anyway, thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.
