@wonderorsi Yes we timestamp the consent given. We take care of this in the 3rd-party plugins supported so for example if you are using Gravity Forms the WP GDPR Compliance plugin will make sure Gravity Forms clearly shows when consent was given or not.

In future updates we’ll include the exact text visitors complied with as well.

@ivo1961 I see the necessary field on the page but maybe your host / site blocks the wp_mail() function? I don’t receive an e-mail.

@wendihihihi We created a button to retry adding the necessary database tables in v1.3.1 this should always work unless your database is somehow blocked from access through WP?

Hi @dunebug81 – we’re sorry you feel this way. We currently support Contact Form 7 (>= 4.6), Gravity Forms (>= 1.9), WooCommerce (>= 2.5.0) and WordPress Comments so if you’re not using any of those you don’t need this plugin.

We took notice of the ongoing discussion and activity to get better privacy controls in Core. As of right now we’ll continue work on our plugin as it seems to be helping people out. We will continue to follow the Core discussion and contribute when we can.

A new version of the plugin will include the possibility for your visitors to request their data and ask for deletion.

Automatic deletion of users isn’t something we discussed yet / not sure if that’s necessary. What is your source on this?

Sign-up forms of any kind need a checkbox. We support this for various plugins (WooCommerce as you’ve noticed and several contact form-plugins) already and will expand in future releases.

@leiwsjames24 Yes the next update of the plugin (later this month) will include this option and we actually discussed this more with the team and concluded the default will be ‘show the checkbox’. ??

@anant01 You are correct the early version of this plugin doesn’t cover all of GDPR yet. We are working on expanding the functionality including a link to a Privacy Statement or other legal page.

We needed to start somewhere and clearly state what the plugin does do on the plugin page. We hope a future release of the plugin can help you – a new one is coming this month.

Currently this is not on our backlog. GA and GTM are taking care of this themselves / most plugins available for either are covering this.
