Instead of doing what you suggested I restored a staging copy, updated all plugins I had to and in iThemes Security I again modified user ID=1. The problem again appeared.

Pls. note I use this plugin with Types pack on another sites, there have been user IDs changed earlier, months ago, and those sites doesn’t show this problem neither after updating to v.5.1.0.

I haven’t found meta_key named ‘wp_capabilities’, but I found 2 instances of ‘ui4_capabilities’. The 2 values are:

Pls. note that the first value is really long, you have to scroll horizontally!
If I’m not mistaken and the user_id column in DB record identifies the user and the first, bolded key value belongs to me, what means the value is not what you wrote, so I might have to modify as you suggested!

If you want to keep investigating the issue, I have a hint what can be ‘wpcf_custom_p..’.
I suppose it is related to WP-Types pack and possibly its access management component named Access
So it might ba a plugin conflict…

So you recommend to modify that key ‘ui4_capabilities’ to what you wrote?

Check the “Screen options” settings at the very top of your WP admin screen, right corner.

Same for me: missing elements in Appearance / Customize.
I don’t have “Static Front Page” item there!
Using WP default theme 2015 and all plugins deactivated problem still exists.
I think it is related to WP 4.3.1 fresh install ( I have another site which was upgraded to WP 4.3.1 and that works correctly ).

Just to help others facing with this problem:
If you use Softaculous, wait for a new WP update and do it via Softaculous.
Update will restore also your capabilities.php.

no, FAQs and other VC content elements are not WP custom post types, but elements, which can be used to build posts, pages and custom post types, adding multiple, different VC element types to a page, post, custom post type.
The PROBLEM is, that SSBA handles them as custom post types…

1) don’t you set SSBA up to be shown on both the top and bottom of the page?
That could explain why it is shown both above and below your text content.

2) Don’t you use a page builder plugin like Visual Composer? If yes, don’t you have a Text Block (empty), below the “Buy Now” CTA?

I use VC and I have the same problem, I mean SSBA icon bar is shown on every each VC content element block (like a FAQ question-answer, which means if I have 15 FAQ questions, the SSBA bar is shown 15 times on a single page).

I reported here the problem but no response from support yet. (7+ days)

I suggest you try to figure it out from the iframe code available in Appearance/Widgets/Knews Subscription Form Widget

That might solve the problems on pages but not in the GMW Search Form widget.
I might select my secondary language (eg. ES for Spanish) there for Title, Actual Language and select the language specific form, but that can display the search widget only in that 1 language selected (for both EN and ES)!
Also: taxonomy header (“Category”), Textbox default content (“Enter Address…”) and Units value (eg. “Kilometers”) can not be translated.

Waiting for WP fix!

Testing it with the new 1.0.6.2 it still doesn’t work ??
I deleted older FAQ categories, de- and reactivated plugin, created new FAQ categories but still no way to translate them with WPML.

Glad to hear that and waiting for it eagerly ??
