I’ve already done that and the dollar sign remains.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Understanding the ‘shop’. Confused :)Yeah, I’ve already added lots of products. I guess what I’m asking is: am I safe to ignore the shop page? And not have any links to it on my site? I’m guessing it needs to exist for WC to work properly, but as I can’t style it like the rest of my site I’d rather not use it if possible. I’m just confused about how WC organises products and categories, and how that relates to my own navigation structure.
Thanks

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Understanding the ‘shop’. Confused :)Thanks for the reply.
So, do I just ignore the shop page then and carry on building my site as if it weren’t there?
Perhaps that ‘add products to your store’ message is related to the theme (Uncode)

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Message sent successfully – but I’m not receiving the email.Well, looks like I’ve solved this. The problem was on Godaddy. I called them and they did some tweaking (not sure what) and now it’s working ??

In reply to: In-Post search function? Thanks, yes it looks like I was looking for an answer in the wrong place.

Hi Jeff,
I’m still having problems with this. I just can’t seem to get an email notification. And also I can’t get the uploaded images to show. Or indeed any of the info from the custom fields that I have added.
Here’s a link to the site I’m working on The user submits the info and the post should appear on ‘The Anthology’ page.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Customizing fields/Adding placeholder text?Could you possible tell me what code I’d need to input in order to hide the field names? I like my forms to have no labels, only the placeholder. I managed this with another form by commenting out the ‘label’ in the form’s php file.
Thanks again.

In reply to: Newbie here: Not receiving emails?Aaaargh! I’m still not getting any emails through WP. Notifications, or Contact Form messages. I’ve tried the WP SMPT plugin and that doesn’t work either. Can’t even send a test email.
Sorry guys, but any more advice?
Hey, that’s really good of you. Thanks!
I did actually manage to sort this, using the Jetpack CSS editor like you said. I think I used Firebug to find out what I needed to change and then kind of ‘copy and pasted’ ??
One thing that interested me though is that the width of the box was listed as a percentage (80%), am I right in thinking that that is 80% of the size of the page? I changed it to 400px which is the same as all the other input fields. It’s worked as I wanted, but I’d be interested to know whether I should’ve kept it as a percentage? I can always go back and change it.
Another thing I’d like to know is; when I started the site, I created a child theme for CSS changes etc. Then I found Jetpack and started using that to input CSS. Will there be any problems using both? Will my site explode?
I’m also not receiving any emails from my contact form, or any WP notifications at all for that matter, which is quite worrying.
Thanks again.
Got it, thanks!
Do I need to do anything to make the changes live? I’m not seeing any difference when I reload the page.
Just to test, I temporarily edited the file in the ‘views’ folder, and I could see the changes as soon as I refreshed. So it’s as if WP is not looking in the ‘custom’ folder.
EDIT: It’s ok, I worked it out. Checked the ‘custom’ box in the settings.
Thanks for all the help Jeff ??
While I’m here, I was hoping it’d be possible to change some of the input fields; ‘Your URL’ to ‘Your Email’ for example. Is that possible?
Many thanks.
