In reply to: [Search Everything] Search Everything gives 500 error after update to 7.0.3@ Gerhard Lichtenauer
Access you cPanel… and via file manager go to wp-content/plugins …and delete ‘search everything’ folder.
Should load OK after that. (until the plugin update becomes available)

In reply to: [Search Everything] Search Everything gives 500 error after update to 7.0.3It definitely makes the whole installation to crash…like any corrupted plugin would.
Though I managed to delete its folder from the wp-content/plugins section via ftp…and my site came back to life.Waiting to hear from the developer.
Hi guys…
I had the same issue.
Followed the above…Now works like a charm.Thank u

In reply to: [font-resizer] not all fonts changeHi again…
I found that the issue I had was caused because there were some span tags with inline code (it was text copied from an old website).
I removed the tags and it works fine now.My wrong.
Yet, there is one more thing i would like to ask.
Is there a way to exclude some classes?
For example when I increase font size, the menu increases too, causing the menu format to brake.Thank u.

In reply to: Child theme & core filesI am on the path of learning.
With all respect.
Thank u again for taking the time to explain.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Child theme & core filesAha…
That was the answer I was looking for.
There should be a comments.php file within the template…in which someone can change things…and then copy that file to the child theme.
Thats how it works!Thank u for helping out here.
Maybe it is so obvious to u…but I couldn’t know without someone confirming this.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Child theme & core filesI dont need support for the theme necessarily.
This is just a question about how to modify the comments form and preserve the changes after future updates.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Child theme & core filesTo add to the above…
In the theme i use (Angular by Kriesi) there is a comments.php file included in the template.
I can change some elements in there but i.e. the “Post Comment” text in the submit button of the form is only found in comment-template.php under wp-includes.
The theme’s comments.php actually renders the comment form as defined by wordpress itself.Another way would be to add some functions in to this file that will determine how the form would look. This requires some skills that I dont have yet. But is this the way to do it?
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Child theme & core filesWell..Thank u for answering…
Still, my question is not so much about IF…rather about HOW.What happens if u want to change something that is by default in the core files…like customising the comments form?
How do u do this then without changing the core files…and how do u preserve changes so they dont get over-written in the next WP update?Same here.
The settings panel in admin is empty.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Shortcodes Plugin — Shortcodes Ultimate] media library & post IDsHi Vladimir,
Thanks for your quick reply. I appreciate.
Good to know it will be added in future version. It’s quite practical and useful for sites that were already using your plugin.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Latest version doesn't work properlyThe problem persists only on some sites.
I even tried to install CF7 3.3.2 but nothing changed. The loader hangs and the form is not responding whatsoever. Yet on other sites which still have 3.3.2 all work fine.
I uninstalled Really Simple CAPTCHA in case it was causing the issue…but nothing.
I also tried it with all other plugins disabled. Nothing.Version 3.3.3 though, works fine on another site i tried a fresh install.
So…a bit confused here.
