I hate to admit this but my PayPal problem had to do with me not using my sandbox ‘business’ email in my GiveWP PayPal settings.

As for my “Pending” woes, turns out that that had to do with my hosting account’s CDN caching settings (downgraded from “Advanced” to “simple”).

Total user error! ??

(I apologize in advance for the xcessive details)

I’m currently in development mode – minimal content, including 7 plugins which I keep deactivating with no joy. FYI, I’m using SG Optimizer, AIOWP, and Securi (all of which are currently deactivated).

– I’ve disabled server-side caching (at least, what’s available via my dashboard)
– I’ve downgraded my CDN caching from Advanced to Basic (and back up to Simple)
– I’ve cleared the cache in GiveWP’s settings
– I’ve done a hard browser refresh
– I’ve tested in incognito (results below)

Aside (re caching & “Pending”):
During triple-checking all cache settings, I visited my hosting dashboard and noticed that I had to re-configure my “www” re-direction (successful). I also downgraded my CDN caching from “Advanced” to “Basic” — one of those two things seemed to have resolved my “Pending” problems. So I upgraded the CDN caching from “Basic” to “Simple” and back to “Advanced.” I saw a temporary return of “Pending” messages which changed from “Pending” to “Payment Complete” when I refreshed the donation receipt page after ~10 seconds (donations still post as complete). I’ve downgraded again to “Simple” as this seems to have resolved my “Pending” problems. (Hallelujah!)

Back to pre-populated fields:
When I open the donation form in an incognito window, the country, & province remain pre-populated.

when I login as a diff user, the email, country, & province are pre-populated.

When I login as me, Fname, Lname, email, address are pre-populated. Every subsequent test is pre-populated with “john doe” name, email, address. …Thoughts?

Can I piggyback on this thread with the same issue for test transactions?

I’m getting the same error using PayPal sandbox ‘personal’ credentials.

Test mode = enabled
Transaction type = donation
PayPal IPN Verification = enabled
Plugins and WP = current
I’ve disabled all 8 plugins to rule out potential conflicts
I’ve disabled all caching settings that I have access to (plugins and hosting access to DNS Zone).
The page is built using Elementor’s shortcode with, [give_form id=”101″]

I’m also experiencing “pending” problems with Stripe, if that provides a clue that I’m doing something wrong on my end (perfectly feasible).

I’ve ready as much online documentation that I can find, including YT videos and I haven’t found an applicable solution yet. ANY advice would be welcome ??

@ladypenelope – can you please elaborate on how you added this script to your Apache server?

Is it something that can be added to an htaccess file?

manual ftp works fine BUT it would be more convenient if the auto update feature worked as intended. What would prevent the plugin from updating properly?…

thx, Takayuki. I’m assuming I would be editing the file, “contact-form-7/styles.css,” right?

Also, if I want to use 2 columns using DIVs instead of tables, do I add the html in the form settings (from the WP dashboard)? And can i add any new classes to the same “contact-form-7/styles.css” file?
