Thanks for the pointer jokeofalltrades. I was referring to Laurie’s question. Apologies for the ambiguous reply. I use wp2.0 with akismet which came inbuilt with wp2.0. The comment system works fine for me. So it could be something else which is causing the prob instead of core wp itself.

if the feed is not working in yahoo, maybe there is something wrong with some settings. Coz the feed is working everywhere else [at least on my blog] so I dont quite think its a basic bug

    PS: I use wp2.0

are the two links calling two different get_links methods? If so, then did you make sure that the arguments are specified as ‘name’? [If am not wrong, it is the third parameter]

Is your wp-config.php recognised as a php file? You can use yoru ftp tool to right-click on the file and look at the properties. Coz thats the only thing wrong I can think of.

I agree with moshu. I have an independent host where I have installed wordpress. Works like a charm and basically I am free to do whatever I want with it short of crashing the main server (which am incapable of anyway ??

I think havign your own host would be the best solution for a stable and reliable system.

    Hi There,

Unless I got my understanding completely wrong, I think whether comments should appear on the main page or not is a feature of the theme being used.

As far as am aware, comments are coded in the main index.php page.

As for why the number of comments are misquoted, sorry, I dont know about that.

Sorry if I got the issue way off ??
