  • If you are using google apps or your email is hosted with a different host other than your blog, and if the domain name in the recipient email address is the same as your blog address, then please ensure that you update the MX entries in your control panel so that your web server knows where to deliver the emails.

    You may have the correct MX entries in your domain’s DNS zone, however, when a user submits an enquiry via the contact form on your website, the web server would think that the destination email address is hosted on the same web server and hence it would try to deliver the email locally rather than reaching out to the destination server. As a result, the email is not delivered.

    Replacing the MX entries in the control panel will tell the web server that the emails for this domain is hosted elsewhere and hence all emails to this domain will be routed to the correct server.
