Thanks a ton Marc! You were super helpful. ?? I really appreciate it!
That is incredibly helpful. Thanks you so much Marc! That worked. I’m just going to hide it as a temporary solution until WooCommerce gets back to me.
Also as far as you abandoning this plugin & switching to another one, I’ve considered the same. The issue for me is that my customers are all on subscription plans that charge weekly, so I would need to move over the payment data from this plugin to another. Do you happen to know if that’s relatively easy to do? (I will probably hire a developer)
Really appreciate the response Marc! In the WP Dashboard it looks like I can’t hide the PayPal. Here is a screen shot of the settings.
For the 2nd suggestion, where do I do that when you say in the CSS? Sorry I’m not a coder, so just trying to figure things out as best I can. Do I do that in my child theme’s style.css? Or should I go to the plugin’s folder->assets->css->checkout.css? If that’s the case, should I make the change directly in there or copy the whole folder for the plugin into my child theme folder like I do with woocommerce? Thanks a ton and sorry if this is a stupid question!
Hey guys,
So it seemed like the issues went away, at least as far as credit card. I did see the PayPal issue happen a number of times, but was only able to recreate the issue once. Do you know how the issue can be re-created?
Alternatively, does anyone know how to hide the PayPal half of the plugin? If the PayPal can’t be fixed, I’d rather just hide it & leave it with only credit card.
Thanks!
@jjbte Thanks for including that code! I was looking all over for something & found yours to do what I wanted (I just want it to say Free), but the issue I’m having is that it displays as I want on the checkout page, but once I’ve checked out, it does not say the same thing within the My Accounts page and the receipt/email that is sent out to customers. Do you happen to know how I can make it so the change is universally applied?
Thanks a ton!!
I was talking to one of the guys over at woocommerce and he said that they are releasing a fix for this soon in the next version (this was about a few weeks ago), so I think this is supposed to resolve the issue. But I haven’t tried it myself.

In reply to: [Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway] cc not showing fields sometimes@bingtx – How do you update the framework / what does that mean? Sorry I am a noob, so don’t know much! Thanks!

In reply to: [Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway] cc not showing fields sometimesDoes anyone actually know if there is another place where the temporary fix can be inserted so it temporarily fixes the issue in other places? For example, there is a place in the my account page where my customers can update their payment method (our site is subscription). On that page, this credit card field issue happens every single time (refreshing never helps). I don’t know how/where I can do the temporary fix that’s mentioned above for that. Does anyone happen to know?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway] cc not showing fields sometimesAh got it. I’ve sent them a number of tickets over the last several months, but the people I get connected to never seem to take it to the next level of resolving the issue. That’s good to know that they are still actively working on fixing it. I think I may try to switch plugins since it seems like it could be awhile before it’s fixed and I’m spending $ on marketing. Thanks for all of the help & info @ beaver316 & @touchnova!

In reply to: [Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway] cc not showing fields sometimesWhen I do that, the options in the dropdown are just Credit Card & PayPal, but then I can’t edit anything beyond that. So I’m not sure how the payment info would be getting transferred to the other payments platform (once I install it) if that makes sense. I guess I’m not sure if the payment info is stored with Braintree or in the plugin itself. Do you happen to know?

In reply to: [Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway] cc not showing fields sometimes@beaver316 Awesome. Thanks so much for letting me know. Did you port over all of your payments data from the previous plugin to the other one? That’s another big concern of mine since my product is a subscription, I would need to be able to move over all of the recurring payment info to the new plugin so my customers continue to get charged without recreating new accounts.

In reply to: [Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway] cc not showing fields sometimes@beaver316 I see. What plugin did you end up moving onto? (any chance it works for WooCommerce Subscriptions?) I’m considering moving on if the recent update that they released doesn’t fix the problem.

In reply to: [Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway] cc not showing fields sometimes@beaver316 Thanks for suggesting the temporary interval fix. I tried that, but unfortunately it didn’t solve the issue. Do you think I should set it to be a higher number? I’m not a coder so I’m just following in everyone’s footsteps. Thanks!!
I am also having this issue & have had the issue for months (I’ve email WooThemes support about it many times). It seems like there is no good solution yet. Does WooThemes have any sense of when it might get fixed? I see that someone from WooThemes commented on this thread about a month ago, but wasn’t sure if it’s actively being worked on still since I see the issue still on my site.
Wow thanks so much!! That worked!! ??
