it was driving me nuts trying to figure out why it was there.
I remember having a copy protection plugin that did the same thing, and so I frantically tried deleting various plugins, thinking it was one of them, not suspecting it was the stat counter.

Ugh. I spent years learning programming, only to realize that I had no use for my skills, and started wanting to revise every single program, finding flaws, and things I would have done different, but never once did I want to put a mark in the code, anywhere!

Hello, thanks for the prompt reply.
I am currently searching for a way to have thumbnail images, which can be clicked on to a Different larger image, or even a bit of HTML in a table.

I dont even know if Lightbox Pop can be used this way.

thanks for the notice, Ill go ahead and try it again.

I hate to ask, but the the heck is a REDCOCKER, it sounds really nasty!

Sometimes I wonder if these plugins were created based on the coders needs.

But I agree with you time and time again, such minor improvements would make either WP-e-Commerce, or WooCommerce really nice.

I am trying to make a list of items, with variations, but I need it to not show a variation that is not available.

for example, if I a shirt, available in 3 sizes, but only the large shirt comes in blue. How to I configure WP ecommerce to not show blue as an option for anything but the large shirt?

I could be wrong, but I dont think WP e-Commerce has this ability, or does it?

Do you have more than one type of variant, Lets say its a shirt, and you need a Size and Color drop down menu for each. Are you saying that one of the drop down menus is not showing at all?

    Hi Jeff,
if you read any of my previous posts, you will see the test platform was a new, fresh install of WP 3.2.2 using an the Twenty Ten theme, version 1.2 and no other plugins were installed.

Today, tried again on a different server. Here are the details.
    Linux, Apache 2.2.15 PHP 5.2.13 MySql 5.0.92
WP 3.1 Twenty Ten 1.2 And guess what, NO errors. Not even the double Login Tab error. The one thing I did different on the other installs was to first upgrade to WP 3.2.2 before installing the Theme-My-Login plugin. And also clicked on the visit settings page, and saved the settings. All things considered, your plugin does not seem to be the cause. And why both previous installations seem to result in missing links on the Meta widget. Which I cannot explain, especially since your plugin was the only one installed on the 3rd completely clean installation.

The previous non Fantasico installs were immediately upgraded to WP 3.2.2 and I do not have a record of what version of WP was first installed, but they were new fresh installs, from a ZIP file.

Also, the previous server was recently updated with all the most recent versions of everything. So at this point I really don’t know what to think. I just know that 2 of 3 installations on the previous server had odd results. The main difference being Fantasico was used for 2 of the four installs, its the only thing I can think of.

In either case, I do apologize, as this remains unsolved and the issues are minor. I suggest this post be closed.

I did find one other un-explainable issue. For what ever reason I keep getting two occurrences of the LOGIN nav bar menu item Tab. (my home page gets replaced with another login page).

I just read the previous post, and I am also starting to wonder if theme-my-login of not compatible with wp 3.2.2

The plugin has a 80% review rating, so obviously its working for some people. Then again, I am not one to let even the minor issues go un noticed. Other than that, Im still pretty bugged that the plugin modifies the default Meta widget, and makes me wonder how many other wp core files.

    (@vehicros)

Ok, deleted the plugin (since I was not able to log in to deactivate it). Logged in the normal way. reinstalled the plugin, this time I did NOT change any of the default settings. Logged out, tried to log back in,, still same error messages, and I’m still not able to log in.

Ill keep messing with it to figure out why, but one thing I did notice, is the plugin modified the standard WordPress Meta widget, by removing everything but “Login/Logout”.

I really dont like it when plugins make changes to wordpress core files.

Ok, New install of wordpress 3.2.2, using Twenty Ten theme.
Installed the plugin “Theme My Login”
First thing I did before testing anything is configured redirects to send all users to the home page. I logged out, and am not able to log back in at all. Getting this error message every time I try.

So, no, the plugin is not what caused the @thefrostey messages plastered all over the page, but it still is not working for me.

    Any ideas?

You probably have a theme or plugin from them.
I’m just a guy who passionately loved WordPress. I just started using Theme My Login plugin, and while it’s not ideal (as my other question in this forum should tell you), it still is quite a simple and useful plugin.

Thanks for the reply, and yes, that could very well be the cause, since I was trying out two other LOGIN related plugins at the time.

And Yes, it was a mystery, since I could not see why I was getting the thefrostry message on several pages.

The other plugins were quickly deactivated, and so I assumed they were.

My apologies, to Jeff Farthing, as I will go ahead and create another install of wordpress, just to test his plugin again.
    thanks

I install a fresh WordPress every day or so. Neither WP SEO nor this plugin does what you mention.
Sorry mate, you need to air your disgruntlement elsewhere. A plugin written in PHP that doesn’t have this functionality written in it will not somehow magically create havoc only on your server. As you know. So the problem is something else and if you wish to avoid it in the future, you might want to root-cause the actual problem.

You just said in a previous Email that “it’s from WP SEO.”

I didnt say it, you did, I have no idea why it happened, I just know that it was a fresh install of both WP3.2.2 and the Twenty Ten theme.

The plugin sounded great, just what I was looking for, but for whatever reason it did not work.

Im sorry Pkiula who ever you are, if I offended you!

I just received an Email containing the following:

    pkiula wrote:

By Frosty is not from this plugin, it’s from WP SEO.
And even that does not write anything in the theme, except a few HTML comments.
It seems your theme itself is broken. Get a new theme, and start over.

The message on the pages said something like @thefrostey or something like that, I didnt really care to note it, since I was more concerned with removing the plugin.

It could not have been from SEO, and the theme was not broken, It was a NEW install of wordpress, and an original install of the twenty ten theme.

All I know is I was not able to undo the install by deactivating the plugin, and ended up reinstalling wordpress completely.

    (@vehicros)

Correction on the last post, I screwed up the WordPress installation,
replacing the theme did not undo the damage it did.

Please try the theme on the newest version of wordpress. with twenty ten.
