One other thing; I did check the configuration for Sharing, and I do see that Facebook is linked to Pages I’ve created, but not to my personal FB wall. Can this be done?
Hello Cena; thanks for getting back to me!
Yes, I am still seeing the error message after clicking on the Jetpack link on the WP sidebar. When I was on the phone with Bluehost yesterday, the tech cleared the cache on its end, and I too have clicked on the option to delete the cache from the server, and the same with the browser cache. Still, no change.
Thanks for clarification on the Socials. It had been awhile since I checked the functionality of the postings, as my posts have been infrequent until recently. I did see the LinkedIn and Twitter seems to work fine. As for Facebook, when I saw that nothing posted, I disconnected and reconnected, but nothing today. What is causing the post to be skipped, and how can I resolve this?
All this is to say that perhaps the Social tools are working. Not seeing the “social” options on the sidebar of the editor, including any notifications of socials that need refreshing, threw me off for a bit. How would I know when a refresh is needed? I did see the screenshot in your link, so will look for it, but not sure why it’s skipping posts except perhaps when I have deactivated my FB account for a few months.
Thanks, Cena!
V.

In reply to: Looking for Specific Type of YouTube Plugin@abretado1985 Thanks so much for the recommendation. I actually installed it, and it works as advertised and posts nicely. The only thing that I need to figure out is to not have the thumbnails be used as “featured images” because they take over the default header of my WP theme. But I do like that the thumbnail and video are part of the posts.
I appreciate the help!

In reply to: Looking for Specific Type of YouTube PluginHey thanks, @akramul; I’ll test that one out, sometime in the next day or two.
@george – Looks like potential solutions, but gonna stick with plugins for now because they are self-contained and aren’t dependent on a third-party service, kinda like using my own cloud service instead of Dropbox. I appreciate your sharing though, so will keep them in mind if need be.

Thanks for getting back to me.You are correct ab out the form; I’ve spent last night attempting to get another contact form plugin working, but have given up on it for the night.
I did replace the code with the same shortcode that I have been using for WPForms Lite, but weirdly this time, unlike the last several times I tried, the captcha info is now displayed. Not sure if it had anything to do with me finding out yesterday that I needed to increase both the PHP and WP memory limits, which I’ve done yesterday. Still, I could never get the captcha to appear, and that’s a good development.
However, for some strange reason, when I click on the Submit button, I get a message about a field that needs to be filled out, but it’s not visible. Also, the submission did not take. I seem to be close to resolving it, but not quite.
Thanks for checking up on this.
Hello Louis:
Thanks so very much for getting back to me on resolving this issue. I am as delighted as can be to share with you that the AJAX fix, indeed, fixed the issue; the IG images have reappeared. That’s one major item down; again, very appreciative of your assistance.
Best Wishes,
V.Okie doke. After I pulled away and calmed down, I went in to complete the Gmail process for WP SMTP Mail, and thankfully the instructions, like before, did as was written until the end.
Test message from the plugin was successfully sent, and now my contact form is working. I will need to test site-admin, as I added my Gmail address to the “send email” area, but now I’m good to go.
Thanks for putting up with me. I’m sure to dive into the app more, in due course.
Best,
V.I followed the basic directions you’ve linked to for checking my WPForms installation. I did miss a few things, so thanks for that.
But I tried using my Gmail address for where why default email should go to, and even though it appeared that my test email was sent via the form, I did not receive it. I suspect that you could be right in that if I wish to use my Gmail address, there is another process.
And a few days ago, I started following directions on configuring WP Email SMTP, and it was such a long process, that I stopped after my Client ID was created, and decided to return to it, which I will do maybe tomorrow. This is a such a long process, that maybe I should have just created another address from my domain instead of using my Gmail, but it seems that since my site-admin email is also my Gmail address, that I’m guessing there’s some sort of filter, which is ridiculous and makes the process less than desirable to use. I am just ranting, but really this process should be a lot less painless.
Anyway, I’ll return to it when my mind is clear and I’m ready to tackle it again. Thanks.

In reply to: Theme Live Preview Does Not WorkGood point. I will try it within the next few weeks, as some of the plugins are big deals to turn off (especially PowerPress, which I use for my podcasts).
Thanks for the suggestion; I will post an update on this.

In reply to: myPHPAdmin and MAMP issuesHi there!
Thanks for the answers; looks as it’ll help others. In the end, I ended up going for broke straight to my hosted site, and thankfully things held together nicely.
I’ll surely save the info given, as I may switch up the theme again at some stage.
Thanks again!
