Most of our products are tax free but we charge regular tax on all freight. But in two specific provinces we charge one tax on the product but a different tax on freight. For instance, in the province of BC we charge:
5% (Federal Tax) on a specific product but 13% (Federal Tax) + Local Tax on freight.
But in another province we will charge no tax on that product but 5% on freight. So the difficulty I am having is that I don’t know how I can charge a different tax on freight and the product by province. If I make the product taxable for both product and shipping it would charge tax on every province that ordered that product because I have a tax rate setup to handle the freight taxes for every province in Canada. Is there a way to change the product to taxable and remove all of the standard tax tables except for the ones that do have tax and than have shipping pull taxes from a different table?
