In reply to: [Velvet Blues Update URLs] URL for media files do not change to httpsHi azcurlygurl, this plugin does update to HTTPS when you include the “https://” in the appropriate field. Please include a link to your website so we can take a look.

In reply to: [Velvet Blues Update URLs] GUIDSThanks for using our plugin. Because your website is new, updating the GUIDs does not cause a problem.
The GUIDs are typically only used by websites and services that syndicate your feeds. The GUIDs are used as a ‘record’ of what posts have been syndicated. When these change, the services will believe that this post is new and will syndicate your posts again. But as your website is new, this is likely not a problem.

In reply to: [Velvet Blues Update URLs] Doesn't work after latest release; can't roll backAh. Thanks for clarifying. I will look into it.

In reply to: [Velvet Blues Update URLs] Doesn't work after latest release; can't roll backYes, the first time it is run it will return results. The second time the same EXACT terms from the first time are run, you will get an error. This is because those terms are no longer found, since they have been replaced.

In reply to: [Velvet Blues Update URLs] Doesn't work after latest release; can't roll backHi mmcginnis,
The plugin returns that error message if 1) it cannot find the URL that you entered or 2) if the search/replace urls are identical. (So if you ran the same terms twice, the second time it would give an error message.)
Please verify that neither is the case.

In reply to: [Velvet Blues Update URLs] an forward slash is missingDatabase changes cannot be undone. But you can try to reverse the changes by running the plugin like this:
Old Url:
https://www.buscatunorte.com
New Url:
https://www.buscatunorte.com/And then to remove any doubles slashes:
Old Url:
https://www.buscatunorte.com//
New Url:
https://www.buscatunorte.com/Good luck.

In reply to: [Velvet Blues Update URLs] .html limitations?Hello,
The Update URLs plugin DOES NOT create redirects. Now that you have used the plugin to replace .html links in the content, you should now set up redirects for the pages, which is a separate process. Look in the WP plugin repository for something that creates 301 Redirects. Then you can use the plugin you find to make sure that all .html pages go to their new WP equivalents.
(You could also achieve the same thing far more efficiently via your .htaccess via a few simple rules. However, based on this question, I’m guessing you are not familiar with .htaccess files, which makes a plugin a better DIY solution.)
Good Luck!
