Hi, I’m having the same problem and I’m struggling with this.

In this case just go to Appearance -> Menus. Create a new top level custom link menu item called ‘Participate’ and set the link to # (i.e. don’t provide a specific link). – I DID THIS

Then drag all your sub-menu items to be under this new top level menu item, and delete the old ‘Participate’ menu item. Save your changes. – I ALSO DID THIS BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING

Any advice would be most welcome

Hi I’m having the same issue and I’m very reluctant to go messing with the file names as I’m just learning while I create my first site. Any update on this issue?
