In reply to: Go Daddy HelpHi Hayden,
Take note of the name and password for the database you created.
For GD, you usually also need to obtain the actual server address to substitute for ‘localhost’ in the config file. You can find that in your GD account also (if not call them).
Those are the 3 items to enter into the config file (and don’t forget to set permissions on that file to 400 after it’s all up).
Upload the WP files to wherever you want your blog to be.
Best ??

In reply to: .htaccess redirects from WP to wp.comAlthough some of us may be into love and pats on the back, I think that you need to be in the WordPress(.)com forum. This is the WordPress(.)org forum.

In reply to: Google will not index my posts or pageshi, agarlan, did you mess around with the redirect stuff?
Take a look at your site report via
https://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/It returned 110 errors for me and included a 30 day re-visit instruction to robots.

In reply to: Sharing one dbase (same blog content) on a few domainsIf these are all public locations, wouldn’t this pose duplicate/triplicate content issues with search engines? I’d think that giving the same blog post 4 different urls could be problematic on that score.
How about using subdomains with 301 redirects?
myblog.siteone(.)com
myblog.sitetwo(.)com
myblog.sitethree(.)compermanent redirects on each of the above urls to
myblog(.)com
The ability to navigate back to the source, I’d think, would require at least one custom home button that directed to an original referrer url. Maybe that could be tied into a session cookie?
Also, displaying content in more than one place is one thing, but I’m guessing that editing the dynamic database (ie. with the addition of a comment) would require a multi user interface.

In reply to: Would someone kindly check out my cookies?Apparently there are live bodies at FB or G. Shortly after I posted this the feed magically shed all the alien urls, including those I posted above, and the only cookie remaining is a ‘stored until end of session’ one. I’m glad that I saved all the info offline. The value in my sql FB query even politely re-wrote itself. Amazing, huh? Now I can ponder further the endless info piling up on this stuff.
Thank you to anyone who took a look for me. ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Error with feed…I just visited your feed again in IE7 and it’s still working just fine. The first time, I actually checked validation. Back to you. Check code and validations on your blog, since there is nothing more to check with the FB feed.
Database files are pieces of data extracted from the database. A database isn’t information, it is a structure for storing information.
If you want to ‘see’ your database, submit sql queries, etc., find the icon in the database section of the BlueHost control panel that is called PHPMyAdmin. As Moshu wisely indicates, though, you don’t need to see your database to install and operate WP.

In reply to: Error with feed…Your FB feed is valid.
Check the feed address you’ve specified in your FB configuration page in admin, the url you entered in your FeedBurner account for their feed to point at, etc.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: database errors, can not de-activateRemove the plugin file(s) either by moving out of WP via CPanel, or by deleting it through the same interface or via ftp. It won’t be there (or activated) any more if that is your wish.

In reply to: Images in a postcss and xhtml
In your stylesheet you have images floating right. For more control over image placement in posts, try creating position classes.
Also the sort of mixed list you’re trying to achieve in that post can be done in different ways, but the simplest (closest to plain html) is with alternating lists (ul, li, etc.). <p> alone won’t get you there. Using lists also won’t address the image positioning. You could try to hack the single post this way for the moment, but if it’s something you want to do regularly, then consider doing some research on and learning to create the required names and values in the css.

In reply to: Help Modifying Morning After Themewithout anything to look at:
- usually specify exact image size in style.css as a structure element (note that exceeding 800px on fixed width themes can cause them to break in some browsers)
- find the related code and move it
- if you have a widgetized sidebar, drag and drop the widget …if not then cut the code and paste it whrever you want it
- no idea what asides are but see 3 above
