I found the answer. It is not a problem with Gantry. It is a thing about WordPress and some other CMS’s that always gets me. If the category is empty is does not show up. A very frustrating characteristic. I’m not sure why it’s done that way but it has always been irritation and huge time waster for me.

Yes it is resolved. It was my error. I do not know how to delete this post so I just marked it Resolved.

I have all of the plugins turned off. When I switched to the twenty sixteen template just now it did start working. Your plugin was working fine. Now it has stopped and I cannot see why.

When I view the website using Android RoxBox works well. My client is having a much different experience.

“When I swipe left or right on a picture (on the iPhone or iPad), if the swipe isn’t perfectly horizontal then instead of displaying the next/previous picture it scrolls the background page (the text behind the picture) up or down. It’s very noticeable. How can I turn off background page scrolling while a picture is being viewed? Basically I want to make it so that when a picture is viewed, any swiping will just scroll through the pictures gallery while the background page will remain immobile/still.”

UPDATE
This is the problem, (Only on iPhone and iPad):
When I click on a thumbnail picture on this page https://www.arcadia-estates.com/luxury-villa-properties-cyprus/ to maximise it, and then I swipe left/right on the screen to see the previous/next picture, it usually doesn’t change the picture but instead scrolls the background page up or down.

Tried this but did not help;

It is a design request from a client. I would like to use something native to WP. Any plugin that comes close would be helpful.

I tried to search for it in WP plugins but my searches come up with thousands of results. I cannot figure out how to narrow down the search.

@andrew – Thanks for the advice but I have given up. I found another template and installed it. All the problems are gone.

I have this same setup on my server, (HostGator) that I use for my professional web design service. WordPress with the Gantry framework and it works perfect. I also have a Gantry/Joomla setup on my server. That’s why I recommend it to all my clients.

https://thegotravel.com/ is on GoDaddy. As a designer I am forced to work with them but I would never have a website there. Maybe the problem is we setup the website on a temporary GoDaddy server and then GoDaddy moved it over to the root directory. Something on GoDaddy is not set right but I can’t find it.

I do love the Gantry system but the support is sketchy, hit and miss. I should probably start a forum for it so people would have a place to ask questions and have them answered without waiting weeks.

I almost gave a bad review because I could not see an obvious way to create a new slider. I would suggest you add a link under (Slider options
>> Select front page slider) to your Slider Tutorial.
