The Changes you have done works when the footer gets loaded .

One thing that you should do.

All the CSS rules you have added in the CUSTOM CSS editor,Copy those CSS rules and paste them in to your Child Theme’s style-sheet.

Here is the small fix for this. Remember All Changes Must be done in the Child Theme’s files.
Open up your excerp_length.php file in /functions/Excerpt/ Folder

Here Just comment Line No-89 that is return '<a class=".....

In Option Panel > general Tab , there is a settings called custom CSS at the bootom . You just need to put the above CSS rule in it. And SAVE it.
