I’ve been trying to do the same since I switched over to WordPress, and I’ve been having difficulty with it as well. I managed to get the Page of Posts code to work if I leave the target page blank, but that seems to require a new template for each destination page, which would be overly cumbersome for your purposes ViennaMex.
I also don’t seem to be able to get the category specification to work properly yet, but I’ve only been at that portion for about an hour.
