Can anyone tell me how to update this theme to work with the latest version of WP?

Also, it doesn’t appear to do function using Google Chrome, although FireFox and IE work fine.

I would like it to trigger on page load or the header element being loaded. this doesn’t appear to function.

Also, is there any way to affect the vertical positioning of the box?
