In reply to: 2.6.1 multi problems -theme, links, indexHave you tried this?
# Go to the Options panel.
# In the box for WordPress address (URL): change the address to the new location of your main WordPress core files. Example: https://example.com/wordpress
# In the box for Blog address (URL): change the address to the root directory’s URL. Example: https://example.com
# Click Update Options. (Do not worry about the error message and do not try to see your blog at this point!)Maybe the problem is somehow those fields contain “index.php”

In reply to: Installed fine, dashboard area fine, home page is blankI thought you said this was a fresh install, and not an upgrade. You’re kinda confusing me now. It looks as if you want to upgrade it to 2.6 or 2.61 or something with an existing database in place.
IF there was a miscommunication, and you DID mean “fresh install”..then why is it such a difficulty to remake your database. All you need to do is fill out that form on your host and wala, edit your wp-config.php file accordingly…and upload…

In reply to: Installed fine, dashboard area fine, home page is blankhmm…well I’d be happy to try installing it for you if you want but personally I don’t know what could be wrong. My best guess is redownload the wordpress 2.6 version, kill the database and make a new one.
Then setup the wordpress again as you should…

In reply to: database connection details???Have you created a database in phpMyAdmin with the corresponding values, such as database_name, database_user, and database_password
For the field,
define('DB_HOST', 'database_connection'); //
try using:
define('DB_HOST', 'localhost'); //

In reply to: Installed fine, dashboard area fine, home page is blankDid you install properly and update your blog by visiting myblog.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php?
If the dash board works fine, are you able to view your posts in admin mode?
What version did you have before you installed 2.6?

In reply to: Character all messed up afteupgrade from 2.3 to 2.6!I just managed to fix this, you have to open your wp-config.php and look for any differences from your old wp-config.php and your new wp-config.php
Most likely, you’ll have an entry similar to:
define('DB_CHARSET', 'utf8');
Try changing it to
define('DB_CHARSET', 'UTF-8');
I guess this is a good lesson on why they say NOT to delete the wp-config.php…and if you try to transfer coding from old file to new file that you know what you are changing.
If this doesn’t work, try eliminating that entire line out of the code.
Good luck =D

In reply to: Converting Blogger Template to WordPress TemplateI figured it out…simply just making the side bar’s css display as absolute and definining where it is shown.
Thanks for all your suggestions ;).

In reply to: Converting Blogger Template to WordPress TemplateI’ve tried to test out several options but ran into this interesting test.
If you click on the calendar, for example, like #8 #11 or #13 it will redirect you to the post of that day. And AMAZINGLY the side bar manages to align itsself perfectly on each of those days meaning since I only have like 4 posts showing up at once…and those posts aren’t squeezing any space out of my side bar…I am wondering why it doesn’t show up when all 3 posts (for e.g. if you click home) it makes the side bar align at the bottom.
