It is not possible to get green light for all the pages. I found that all the lights turns green with the following condition in one of my page:

    • This page has 0 nofollowed link(s) and 3 normal outbound link(s).
    • The text contains 670 words. This is more than or equal to the recommended minimum of 300 words.
    • The meta description contains the focus keyword.
    • In the specified meta description, consider: How does it compare to the competition? Could it be made more appealing?
    • The focus keyword appears in 3 (out of 7) subheadings in the copy. While not a major ranking factor, this is beneficial.
    • The images on this page contain alt attributes with the focus keyword.
    • The keyword density is 2.2%, which is great; the focus keyword was found 15 times.
    • The focus keyword appears in the first paragraph of the copy.
    • The SEO title contains the focus keyword, at the beginning which is considered to improve rankings.
    • The page title has a nice length.
    • The focus keyword appears in the URL for this page.
    • You’ve never used this focus keyword before, very good.

There are many ways to do this:

    • You can install and use WAMP or Ampps server on your computer to develop the website. But there will be difficulty to show the developed site to your client.
    • You can use some free hosting to install wordpress there. You can move your locally developed website to that installation to show the website to your client.

You can install 2 WordPress with the same database. There are 2 ways to do this:

    1. Enable multisite feature of WordPress. The two sites will be working with same installation of WordPress.
    2. Use same database credentials while installing the two WordPress but just change database prefix, such as wp_ and wp2_ This will create two sets of tables with different prefix in the same database.

I would like to suggest that you should not do any upgrade directly on live website, instead you should first create a clone of website and upgrade the clone website. Slight modification in theme may require to make it working with latest WordPress version.

In this way, you can make changes in clone website to make it work. When you get fully assure that clone website is working fine, you can replace the live website with clone.
