many thx for this. I have already added the ip addresses to the spamfirewall whitelists of all the 40+ sites we manage from the ClearTalk dashboard – will they auto synchronize? Or must I go to each WP dashboard and follow your advice in 2. ?

FYI would be great to have a standard settings template that can be applied to the 40+ websites we have ?? Maybe a future feature (unless I missed it)? That’s one feature I like about the WordFence dashboard.

UPDATE: found the clean out option on deactivation in advanced settings, reinstalled the plugin and put the correct access key in from the dashboard, everything working!

Hi we have just purchased the unlimited anti-spam service for all our client websites, as we are very impressed with the functionality, having tested this one one website as a trial. I have installed the plugin and used the access key I had for my first website mistakenly. However when I added the website on the Cleantalk dashboard and received a new access key and replaced this in the plugin settings windows for that site I receive the same error “2020-07-06 15:24:12: Error occurred while updating SpamFireWall local base. Error: NO_FILE_URL_PROVIDED”. I tried removing the plugin and re-installing it and activated it but I get the same issue. Guess the database has retained the problem. Please advise.

Hi thanks for the feedback,

answers below:

1. DB User has all the required permissions excluding CREATE.
2. define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’);
define(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”);
3. All tables exist.

I added the CREATE permission and voila it worked. Also the update to 14.1 added the prompt to speed up the database which also worked fine.

Hi I am also having this issue on a SiteGround hosted site. I went through the steps mentioned above using the Yoast Test Helper plugin and then deleted and re-installed the Yoast SO plugin but have exactly the same problem “Yoast SEO was unable to create the database tables required and as such will not function correctly.” I also checked the MySQL DB owner permissions and all are set correctly, i.e. tables should be able to be created. Please advise. Note, this site is also set for WP autoupdates.

Hi Jay,

apologies for the delay in my reply have been rather busy. We still have the issue. I tried upgrading a staging copy of the site to php 7.3 and the problem occurred again. The error in the debug log is:
