Thanks… your reference resulted in finding a plugin called

firstRSS by Underjc.com which does exactly what I was looking for… have now updated my site with a few quick examples.

many thanks for the comments from HandySolo and Moshu

Thanks for the pointer to categories and category pages. Perhaps I’m not asking the right question…

How can I specify rss feeds (ie. https://www.energy.gov/pressreleases.xml) or specific http urls so that they appear part of one of my pages?

    Yes…..

Was thinking that I could setup a Page for various topics (ie. Energy, Home Heating, etc) and that each of these pages would somehow reference another website content…. so that when someone clicks on the ‘Page’ link from the main menu, the dynamic content would be displayed.

As an example, if you go to my site: https://www.HelpWithEnergy.com
you will see Pages and subpages for Energy… if you go to any of the subpages, you then have to click a link to get the content for the link… I would like the content to be displayed within my page (and my control) without having to force the user to once again press another link and then leave control of my site. I can do this with frames in html, but have no idea how to do it within WordPress??? Is this even possible within WordPress??

Yep, that is the key…. clearing my cache and cookies will allow a reask for the password next time in. So, is there a way to not create a cookie update when accessing this password page?? Or to reset things after accessing??

Perhaps I can code my page (its a simple text page at the moment) so that some php command can reset the cookie ?? but what would the command be??

Decided to simply start all over and reload…. all appears to be working fine at this point.

    Appreciate your help and comments!!

    Many thanks!

    was running version 2.0
came home yesterday and noticed the shift
saw that there was an update to 2.0.1 thru fantistico so just updated…and problem is still there.

there is not alot of content on this site yet, so can start all over… but would prefer to know what the cause is so as to prevent from occuring in future.

    thanks!

negative…. have not recently added or deleted anything to the site (as a matter of fact, just got back from sweden!).

I did just now change the theme back to one of the default themes, and the same problem… appears shifted?

    Petit & Clark1866,

Thanks for your comments… Ok, if what I’m copying from another document/site have links embedded in what I’m copying… how do I turn things off so that the links do not get carried over? This really loses alot of what I was hopeing to do, but it is a solution!

WOuld still like to know why (and how) the link address is being modified, and how to go about stopping it from happening.

    thanks,

Negative… all I’m doing is copying code and pasteing it into the post window…and then somehow between the time I select the code, click copy, and then past it into the window…something modifies the link address to aways append my webaddress as the first part of the link???

Am trying to figure out how to just let it use the absolute weblink address instead of apparently a relative one?

    thanks.

    Bob
