What is the best practice for structure creation in WP if we have Categories and Posts (Products):

1. Add Category to menu subitem to output Posts
2. Add Page to menu subitem and output Posts inside this page

Add Category sounds logical, but it has a lot of restrictions.. for example:

• we can’t add Featured Image to Category to output it
• we can’t order categories (while Pages have an Order field)
• we have less control (we can’t insert some elements inside Category… as we can do in Page by using Gutenberg or Elementor)

Yes, we can use custom fields to add Featured Image or some elements to Category… but, using Pages instead of Category sound like a more simple workaround.

So, what is the best practice?

Is it a good idea to start new website on Elementor with Polylang Connect? Will be there update with fix?

Thank you for answer, Justin. You really help to make plans for some future projects, where multi-language support needed.

Hope native multi-language and Phase 4 will come without serious delays, as in many countries this is something that needed by default.
