In reply to: Language translations. Any good tips to check more?Hi. Accept my apologies for not being able to help with the technical details in this situation in particular, as I’m not a plugin/theme coder (yet), but I wanted to take a look and try helping with whatever I could, so I followed the first link you posted, but it seems to be dead: “Page Not Found The page you are looking for could not be found.”
Also, your first sentence “None of my plugins or theme languages are not translated” would give the impression that there is *no* issue with your plugins or themes, regarding translation. Did you meant “None of my plugins or theme languages are translated” instead?
Hope it helps on helping others helping you. ??

In reply to: [OnePress Image Elevator] AdvertisingThis plugin puts an advert on top of the WordPress installation?
Is it on back end or on front end?
(I mean, is that even allowed by the plugin team?)Ok, just found a way to solve my problem.
There is this fantastic plugin named Child Theme Configurator by Lilaea Media that automatically creates a child theme following all the technical rules that WordPress states and then helps tweaking some aspects one might want to change on themes.
So your theme is a fantastic one (my number one favourite for a new project I’m working on) and this solution made it even better.
5 stars will be on it’s way, right away…
Are you:
a) Reviewing the plugin?
or
b) Reviewing the fact that the www.ads-software.com team actually accepted and approved the plugin and made it available into the repository? Please understand that what you made (giving one star to the plugin itself), was not fair. Your reason is just accurate, but I presume that your “one star” was intended onto the www.ads-software.com plugin approval team and not to the plugin itself.

While I totally agree with your last sentence, I guess you are criticising the www.ads-software.com plugin team for approving the plugin and not the plugin itself.

In reply to: [PDF Image Generator] WordPress 4.7I want to thank you too. I use this plugin so much that it’s really important to me to be able to stay informed before take some decisions regarding the major version upgrades.
(It’s always a good idea not to go ahead with the upgrades on very important websites and wait just a couple of days, as long as there is no security issues involved, right?)
I believe that for some plugin authors, the days after a major release upgrade would be really stressy days, so accept here my gratitude for your hard work. This has been a great example of how a plugin should be developed here in www.ads-software.com
Happy new year.
Perfect! Thank you!
Hi. So sorry as I had some troubles that made it unable to check back sooner.
Ok, when I install the ZIP, it shows this error:
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘*’, expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in D:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\error-log-monitor\Elm\Plugin.php on line 3”
The error might have something to do with the syntax for the MB size?
I googled for it and found this result:
https://github.com/0xdeafcafe/Neighbourhood360/blob/master/XDevKit/Helpers.cs– – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
private const ulong KB_IN_BYTES = 1024; private const ulong MB_IN_BYTES = 1048576; private const ulong GB_IN_BYTES = 1073741824; private const ulong TB_IN_BYTES = 1099511627776;
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Hi! So sorry for not being able to reply soon.
I will install your ZIP tomorrow and will let you know then, but please let me thank you in advance for being so fast in taking this idea into consideration.
As for the notification, I agree that it should not send an email every day, so your suggestion is the best option:
“if you cleared the log file and then it reached the size threshold again, it would probably make sense to send a new notification”I will try to give some feedback tomorrow. Thanks!
Hey! Thank you so very much for replying!
Well, I guess that (for my personal case), 150MB would be a gigantic size for a log file. I believe that I would not want a log file bigger than 100MB on my servers, but this is me. I really don’t know what other admins would need, so I’m a bit tempted to say “please use MB” but other users of your plugin would probably need something a bit different?
(maybe configurable would suit more people?)As for ‘resenting’ the notification, (and again, in my personal ‘taste’) I would definitely wish that the notification would only get away once I give it some attention.
I know that log files can make the difference between one being able to fix a disaster or not, but for me, it’s better to have them always with a small size in my servers.
It’s not something that I would want to “have in my server growing, and growing, and getting fatter, etc…”
I know of a situation where a WordPress installation was detected by the hosting company support guys, with a 21 GB log file size.
That is a “nightmare on Elm Street”!Thank you so very much for your precious work.

In reply to: [ByREV WP-PICShield] Punished by google images for using this plugin@wonderful Object, probably the author of this plugin should have mentioned that by using it, it could harm your Google Page rank? (although it should be a bit obvious that Google runs their algorithm the way they want to…)
@jacquilyndesigns have you ever considered that one should have the right to develop his/hers website the way he/she wants to?.
If someone wants to avoid hotlinking on images, why not let them do it?
I just red your comment here and it just seems that you are fighting against the wrong person.
Don’t blame the plugin author for writing this plugin. that is just not fair. I’m not the author of this plugin but what you did with such comment is just totally wrong.
Do you know that this is the place for commenting about issues you might find with the software that is posted here and not about the use that people do to the software itself?
You should.
