  • I have disabled “Enable product listing page” in the “General settings” and used the shortcode instead on that page. And I have added the widgets I want on that page. I also mirrored the widgets to the category and single pages, now without any problem.
So it looks like the widgets is working fine now! Good!

(See my other thread for loop problem that I still have.)

Hi, I hope my english is understandable. The page I am currently on is “highlighted”/marked in the topmeny because that is how I have set up my theme to do (change font color of the menu item when you are on a certain/current page). I like that.
But the problem is that the Blog menu item is marked, not the Product menu item.

In my other thread you said I could use shortcode instead for the products listing page, to solve a widget problem. That seems to work and also solved the problem with the meny item! When I click on “Products”, the Products meny item is marked correctly. Good!

    BUT!
When I click on a category or a single page, the Blog/News meny item is still marked instead of the Products! Is it possible to solve that too? (Otherwise I will have to skip my use of show current page/meny item, but that is not an ideal solution).

I don′t use a child theme, so if I understand you, I would have to do add the theme integration extra file every time I have updated my theme, because it would be erased?

Okej I will try with shortcode.

(My developer collegue didn′t like the idea of that extra integration file, he said it would be outside the updating routine/control…?)

    Follow up:
Something is happening with the widgets in connection with the plugin settings of wich page should show the Catalog List/Product listing page.

Now I have deleted the widget box on Products Page and the mirroring from all these other places. But that widget “Produkt” is still there in the WP admin – widgets! And it was still showing on my Products page, even thou I had no widget box anymore on that page! It is like a ghost?

But even more strange: I created a new testpage called “Testkatalog”, and created a new widget and content area. No problem. Then I choosed that page to be the Product Catalog page where the plugin will show the catalog list. And then the widget I created was swopped and suddenly it was showing the old “ghost” that I have deleted!! (but still is there in the WP Panel widgets).
At the same time my first Products page got rid of the ghost widget and is now showing correctly!

Can you help to find what is happening and what is the problem?
