In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Date/Time no longer workingI’m seeing similar results as well in Firefox and Safari for Mac. The month/year of the current event, when viewed in month mode or disappears as the pop up for “month/week/daily/agenda” is often missing.
I do see the monthly date picker when setting up an event though, unlike the youtube example above. To me it seems to be a CSS issue, as the calendar is displaying a bit funkily. I’ll need to clone the site to do proper diagnosis, as it’s production and I’m unsure what update applied to mess things up [the calendar feature hasn’t been used very often on the site until recently, so I don’t have a good time of when this started happening, and the site is a private site]. I’ll recreate it this week and see if I can find the cause and update this thread with my results as it may help the OP with their issue.
For those who are curious, my PHP 5.4.12 installation had the following compile-time arguments that made this plugin not need the “disable text on geolocation maps” fix:
--with-gd --enable-gd-native-ttf --with-freetype-dir=/usr/include/freetype2 --with-jpeg-dir=/usr --with-png-dir=/usr --with-zlib-dir=/usr
There were other arguments as well, but I believe the above ones were the ones that solved the issue, as I now don’t need to have that option checked and text shows up fine on the maps.
Thanks very much, Mike! I’m fixing things now so that the GD library and FreeType library are complied in with PHP properly. Thanks again! ??

In reply to: [DMSGuestbook] [Plugin: DMSGuestbook] Best way to disable form?Hi Dani,
Thank you *so* much for that info – it worked perfectly and now the guestbook displays entries that people have made in the past, and no way to make new ones. This is perfect! Thank you again – much appreciated!
Kind regards,
/vjl/
It’s been working fine for me on several WP 3.4.1 installations.
Hi Peter,
Thanks for the quick reply! I did deactivate and reactivate and it didn’t grab the latest. I can see it replace the TimThumb.php files with 2.8.2.
I will go ahead and try again on one of the sites I was seeing the issue [it was actually on all of them, but they are hosted on the same server of mine], and see if it grabs 2.8.5.
[a few minutes goes by]
Ok, well, the good news is it does see that 2.8.5 is the current version. But it is still not grabbing it. https://skitch.com/vjl323/gwiud/timthumb-scanner shows the current results [refreshing or rescanning the site shows 2.8.2 still].
Is there a debug mode I can turn on to be able to help figure out why it’s not going out to Google code to grab the latest?
Thanks!
/vjl/ [p/s – come next week, i’m signing up for Locker; very impressed with what it offers and what you have offered free via this plugin]

In reply to: [WooTumblog] This plugin needs secured against TimThumbTimThumb scanner states that the version that comes with the wootumblog plugin is 2.8 which is vulnerable. 2.8.2 is secure.

In reply to: [WooTumblog] [Plugin: WooTumblog] Images, Videos etc. in RSS FeedActually, I’m a paying member of their site – a club member, but I am not sure where in their forums they have dedicated support for this plugin. I have had to alter the themes that use this functionality as well. Perhaps I should start with those themes, but I’m really interested in getting the plugin fixed first, since it will trickle down to the themes that have the functionality built in.

In reply to: [WooTumblog] [Plugin: WooTumblog] Images, Videos etc. in RSS FeedJust a heads up that 6 months later, this still remains broken ?? Updating to 2.0.5 broke this again, so I have to edit wootumblog.class.php again to use the_content_feed instead of the_content_rss.
Where on Woo’s website/support forum can I report this so that it can be fixed for the next release?
Thanks!

In reply to: [WPBook] [Plugin: WPBook] feature image will not show with wpbook 2.1…Wow…! Thanks, John, for the great advice, above! For some reason, I didn’t get notified of your post so I only saw it now. I haven’t applied any of the alterations yet, but I shall [and you/Charity Water will be seeing a donation in a few minutes ?? ].
I did remember on Tuesday evening to upload a featured image with my normal post. Even though the theme doesn’t use it to display anything in the front-end, it is provided in the backend so I used it, and the FB Wall post did show the correct thumbnail [which is awesome, since it normally picks a random photo which doesn’t correspond to the caption/post posted on FB]. I believe this also means when folks “Like” or “Share” [via other plugins], the correct thumbnail will also be used. Because I hadn’t made the modification to the plugin, the featured image didn’t get carried over into the FB app itself via WPBook, but I’ll go ahead and do that later today, before Thursday’s photo of the day is uploaded.
I’ve had to edit other plugins for customization stuff, so I’m used to having to be careful upon upgrades. Thank goodness for SVN. ??
I’ll let you know the results of this later Thursday or Friday. Thanks again for the detailed explanation and code examples! They are much appreciated!

In reply to: [WPBook] [Plugin: WPBook] feature image will not show with wpbook 2.1…I’m using 2.2.2 and I’m having this problem as well. But…I’m not using a featured image. I am using WP 3.1’s Post Type feature and so my posts are of type “image”. They contain an image and the “normal” text post below it. It’s for my Project:365 site:
https://www.vjl365.com
Facebook app: https://apps.facebook.com/vjlphoto/This screenshot shows how my latest post is setup in the backend:
https://skitch.com/vjl323/r3iec/edit-post-vjl-365-wordpress
I’m unable to link a pre-existing URL to the featured image; attempting, after the fact, to upload the photo of the day into the “set featured image” section doesn’t appear to work as the FB app doesn’t update the post with the image. I can try later today [Tuesday] and set the featured image *before* I publish the post. I’d rather WPBook use the image in the ‘image’ custom field though.
Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide!

In reply to: [WooTumblog] [Plugin: WooTumblog] Images, Videos etc. in RSS FeedJust an FYI, but this issue with the plugin still exists in version 2.0.3, but your fix above did the trick with regards to Feedburner. I just wish I could find a place to submit a bug report to Woo. I’ll ask them on Twitter if there’s a proper place to inform them of this. Thanks again for the help, michawen!

In reply to: [WooTumblog] [Plugin: WooTumblog] Images, Videos etc. in RSS Feed@michawen – A belated thanks! I will try that right now. I was out of town and just now saw your reply. The site I’m using this on is a daily photo blog, and I’m about to upload today’s photo, so I will know more in a bit if that worked or not [i have a development/staging version of the site, but i don’t have feedburner activated for that version, which is why this issue didn’t crop up until i went live with the new redesign!].

In reply to: [WooTumblog] [Plugin: WooTumblog] Images, Videos etc. in RSS FeedAre you using Feedburner for your RSS feed? I have the same issue when enabling Feedburner, but the normal RSS feed will allow you to attach images/videos/etc to the RSS feed.
In the Tumblog Options screen, make sure that “Use Custom Tumblog RSS Feed” is set to “yes”.
That should fix your problem if you use the WordPress-generated RSS feed, but if you use Feedburner, I am not sure how to solve that yet [that’s why I am here, looking for a solution ?? ].
