Thank you for the response.

I am hosting my own site and mod_rewrite is enabled and working. As I mentioned in my original post, some of the category archive pages work when permalinks are enabled, just not all. Also, post links also work with permalinks enabled.

I am pretty sure that mod_rewrite and Apache are working properly.

I am still looking for some help on this?

Can anyone offer some insight into how I can change the common slug names?

After attempting to clear all browser data and restarting the browser, now I am getting this:
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

The account that I am using to log in has Administrator capabilities so there is no way that “I do not have sufficient permissions”.

The same account easily logs in when I use HTTP instead of HTTPS.

Can any one help here? I am sure, I am not the first one who has seen this error.

I am not entirely sure that is true. If two different plugins load the Fancybox jQuery javascript file but they give it different tags (argument 1 to wp_enqueue_script), how would wp_enqueue_script know that it is the same thing?

Of course, I as type this, I am realizing that there really isn’t a way to have a fool-proof way to get what I want done.

I am trying to get around the fact that the Fancybox for WordPress plugin and my plugin include two different version of the Fancybox javascript which conflict with each other.

Anyone have any ideas?

Unfortunately, that didn’t work. There is still nothing being echo’ed by the function.

I have never been able to find a plugin that will let you backup the files along with the database.
Therefore, I wrote my own script to do it. If you’d like to use it, I’ve made it available (https://www.voidtrance.net/tag/backup)
