That’s the problem I had – I couldn’t log in using my site /wp-admin.

Try the Relocate at the link I gave you. It worked for me.

Can’t help you with the c-panel. My host doesn’t use c-panel. I accessed the files through my ftp (Filezilla).

Sorry – I was thinking you weren’t able to access the dashboard. Don’t know where I got that from but sounds like you were able to solve your problem – and that’s what counts!

It’s FIXED!!!!!!

Can anyone tell by looking at my website how to fix it? It’s https://www.emergencyessentialshq.com.

If you Google the keyword “emergency essentials” you can see what it used to look like in the cache. It shows up on page 1 about 3 or 4 links down.

Also, I can’t access my WP dashboard. I messed up the url’s on the General Settings page, and can’t even login now – and I’ve done EVERYTHING I saw at WP Codex for General Settings. I even got to the login page (finally) – but it won’t let me in using my correct username and password. I don’t know what to do. It’s a self-hosted site and I use Filezilla to upload.

Fixed, never mind.

Update …

Actually, I checked and all my

pages

are working fine. The widgets show up in their proper place. It’s just when my main url – with no permalink extension attached – is clicked that the widgets go haywire. Any guesses?

Wow my sites a mess! Thanks for that link. So do I work on that by going to Appearance –> Editor –> and either css or php? If php is it the Main Index page or something else – do you know?

Your solution worked – my problem in Safari was I had my pages marked as drafts so they weren’t publishing. For some reason Firefox did show them after you re-did my archives.php.

Either way – you’re a genius.

Another way to describe the problem I’m having …

when I go to my wp-admin/options-reading.php page I should see as the first option “Front page displays” to let me pick whether the site shows my latest posts or a specific static page. I don’t have that option. It’s not on the page.

I don’t get it – it works perfectly in Firefox, but only the domain name works in Safari – none of the other pages. They all give a 404 – Not Found. And yes, I cleared the cache and tried it again,

Does that make any sense?
