So — I am using version 3.4.10, and so far (over 8 hours) no problems with spam-subcribers!
Thank you for this update!
Hello,
I have version 3.4.9 and am facing the same problem. It would be nice to have a reCaptcha and a honeypot (invisible blank) field.
@icegram ,
Thank you so much!!!
That was it. The plugin works perfectly now.@icegram — these are the URLs:
https://zatma.org (subscribing won’t work on this page)
https://zatma.org/new-wp/?p=1400 (but works here)
Thanks a lot for helping.
“Oops.. Unexpected error occurred.” is the error. A user will see it when she tries to register using the email subscribers widget which is placed on the front page of the site, in the footer. When using the widget placed in any sibling page (articles linked from themain page), it works.
I have upgraded to 3.4.8, and the problem still happens… What can I do to help debug this?
It didn’t work for me… Perhaps it’s a different issue?
I also see this problem, but *only* when the subscriber uses the widget on the front page, which is placed in “Footer Left” position. Inside articles, where it is in “Primary Sidebar”, no problem occurs.
And removing
rawurlencode(...)
that is around$subscriber["es_email_mail"]
does not fix it…Using version 3.4.6 og the plugin, and latest WP version also.
