If you may give me your site URL, I shall check your “slow loading” issue. About the eBook icon, you won’t have to upload it using ftp, you can upload it once to your media library and use the media library image URL in icon tab. There 1000s of different icon, including all those icons inside plugin is a bit overhead.

Only WPDM uses this value wdm_settings to handle form post using wp ajax on it’s settings page.
