In reply to: Contact Form 7 cannot change settingsWhat SMTP settings are you trying to use in the plugins you have tried?
Also, you can use this plugin to save form submissions in the interim while you are troubleshooting the issue:

In reply to: Missing Pages & Links After Site MigrationThe developer site is just a secondary site where updates and new features are tested before getting pushed to the production (public facing) site.
Some of the books were probably added on the original development site, they could have had a placeholder of some kind and then had the thumbnails updated on the public site (just a guess, it could have been 100 different possibilities).
In your “archived” section I see the link say for Feb point to:
https://hollywoodprayernetwork.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Feb-2013-MPN.pdfIt looks like the previous site had WordPress sitting in a directory called /wordpress, if you take that out of the address they work:
https://hollywoodprayernetwork.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Feb-2013-MPN.pdfYou can try doing a manual permalinks update also: Go to settings > permalinks change the type to something other than what it is currently (make a note of what it is currently) and click “save changes” then change it back and click “save changes” again.
As for Visual Composer, I would open up a ticket with them:

In reply to: How to limit access to directory but not files in it with a linkIf you use a host that uses cPanel, you can go into the “Indexes” section go to the folder in question and change the setting to “no indexing”.
It shouldn’t affect any direct links, if you had https://www.sites.com/pdf/file123.pdf that link would still work, they just would see a message that directory listing was unavailable if they tried to browse to https://www.sites.com/pdf/

In reply to: Post no textDouble check to see if a featured image is selected for wedding-anniversary-ideas-for-every-year . . . compare it to one of the other posts like bridesmaid-dresses-for-your-summer-wedding/
If the featured image is not set for bridesmaid-dresses-for-your-summer-wedding/ when you go to the edit page, try removing the featured image from wedding-anniversary-ideas-for-every-year
Basically, try comparing the selected options in the post that aren’t working with one that is working and see if you can see any differences.

In reply to: WordPress Comments SystemJetpack has those features built in for free, and as they are an Automattic company (the company behind WordPress.com) they are well developed and well supported:

In reply to: Missing Pages & Links After Site MigrationIt’s difficult to say what the previous developer would have done on the dev site.
Can you give a specific example of one of the wonky links you are talking about?
I would get in touch with the previous host and see if they will allow you to export the previous data (it never hurts to ask).
You can get an idea of anything from the history of most sites with the Wayback Machine:

In reply to: Can’t see my published postsGlad you are finding your way, things will start to become more obvious the more time you spend using WordPress. I would take a look through the theme repository at:
https://www.ads-software.com/themes/
Take a look and see if something grabs your interest and try one out (there are a LOT of layout options you can choose from)
There are a lot of great places to start learning about WordPress as a new blogger:

In reply to: Missing Pages & Links After Site MigrationThat’s likely why the pages are all out of date, you have the most up to date version of what is in the staging (developer) site.
Any possibility of backups of the recent WP site?
Can you share the previous/current URL?
