  • Hello
My problem seems simple (to me), first off I am an old geezer trying to work a website. I don’t speak code very well at all. On one page I have the calendar in a calendar view (https://tvdmcl.org/calendar/action~month/request_format~html/). What I want to do is move the calendar to the top and put a jpg image of annual reminders and text below. So far everything I try the calendar image drops below and out of view.

We are a lot of old veterans and if the view isn’t up front, the calendar is not working. I tried a message and still got gripes.

All the videos show using and doing whistles and bells. For me I have got to keep it simple. a view of a calendar something written they click on to get details. I tried to post capture images of the page but only got the titles.

    Text below

    Page Footer

So the answer is… Just continue loading 6 each of the next few thousand images until it deminishes down to only one image each limitation?

I have used this wonderful app for several years it has worked flawlessly, (except my stupid mistakes) that is till now and the issue is my internet provider or wordpress?

I will begin tests on the internet and provider, hopefully that will bring results. Any advice on your end would be helpful. Thanks again for the software and support.

New Issue: I used to be able to upload 20 images (size under 100k each). But now I can’t upload more then 6 images. The note at the top of the page is “You need a modern browser that supports HTML-5 to select multiple files” I am using Google Chrome which I tested with (https://html5test.com/) and it listed YOUR BROWSER SCORES 521 OUT OF 555 POINTS.
    <!DOCTYPE html> triggers standards mode Yes ?
    HTML5 tokenizer Yes ?
    HTML5 tree building Yes ?

Question: How do I get the program to recognize that I am using a broser with HTML5

One check arrow works great. I looked at this item when I searched for the “Manual Save” idea for text entries and didn’t select it. I selected watermark before just for a look see (and that was more trouble than it was worth). Could I recommend when renumbering add a reference that with this selection text entries (photo captions) can be manually saved when entered. It might save people like me from bugging you. There is no (?) mark for quick reference.
As I have said this is the best with 150 albums the old Veterans really like its look.

3 “Use WP editor” Use the wp editor for multiline text fields. (no? for explanation)
    Thanks for continuing help! Walt

Update: Because I saw a reference to IX-A11 to view and change. I went looking and found that I don’t have anything in IX beyond 6. I thought because of other references that maybe my browser was at fault so I opened the settings in both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer, both were the same.
I did change one thing in table Miscellaneous IX-6 & 7 upping them to 50 each.

Update; I tried after entering text to refresh the page no effect still lost part of the text.
Manage Photos – Edit photo information: If it says ‘Photo rotated’, the photo is rotated. Refresh the page. I am looking for other variables.

    Hello opajaap
I primarily use Google Chrome as my browser. I don’t know what this means (ajax operations i can change from asynchronous to synchronous.).

I am sorry to let you know that I have used Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome and the same problem is experienced in all three. The auto save feature after two minutes saves the changes and switches to the next number as a new album.
When I want several albums it is a real help, otherwise it causes frustration in having to leave an open blank album to go back to what I was working on.

This is GREAT, a truly wonderful piece of software. What is to be complemented is that something created years ago is still getting better. Because the creator is available to assist even with the simplest of confusions. Most programmers create a something then make it an orphan, left to its own future. You are there to keep the growth on track and watch it make many people thrilled by your work. And you personal touch of help.
Thank you, an example of the season.

    Correction
I did some work and changed the shortcode.

    %%wppa%% %%cover=36%% %%size=450%% %%align=center%%

When I go to this page the Parent Album is shown to see the child albums (15) you must select the parent “View Albums”. Can the child albums display without the parent showing or needing selection?

Separate worked just as designed. Thanks

I hope this is what you want for short cose?
    <p style=”line-height: 18px;”>%%wppa%% %%cover=36%% %%size=450%% %%align=center%%
    %%wppa%% %%cover=%%
    %%wppa%% %%cover=%%</p>

    Hello opajaap
As you asked and because I may not really understand what I am doing, here is a step by step of the issue as I see it.
Auto Save: 1. open site (wp dashboard), 2. Hover over “Photo Album” click on “Album Admin”. 3. Click on “Create New Empty Album” a pop-up box appears asking: The page at tvdmcl.org says are you sure you want to create a new album” OK or Cancel. I select OK.
    4. The next ID Album #__ opens at top is “Edit Album Information” Auto Save. below is written “Album #40 Added”
From here it takes two minutes for Auto Save to activate after any item on the page is changed. If no changes are made “Remark: Album #40 is not yet modified” it will not auto save unless you leave the page.
    5. Without leaving the page, I changed “Parent Album:” and “Link to:” waited the two minutes and Auto Save happened. The message at the top “Album #41 added”.
    6. I did notice at the page bottom “Remark: Album 41 is not modified yet” (I was wrong about the not happening again). I made the same changes and waited for two minutes, auto save happened, it happened again message “Remark: Album #42 is not modified yet”. I let this happen several times (no big deal I need the albums). Each time was the same outcome.
    7. I found that any change on the page triggers the timer for auto save.
    8. Another item was that after a change “Remark: (the words) undefined (undefined)” in red followed by auto save and a new album.
I hope this helps find the issue. I don’t think it a problem more a surprise and keeping the old guy on his toes. Thanks for this widget and the most important the ability to get help understanding how to make it dance like a ballerina.

I am sorry but this seems like a lot of work. Wouldn’t it be easier to delete the albums and create new albums. Or, Delete the images in an album and reload the those images.
Please remember I have loaded 699 images in 34 albums.
The files uploaded just fine as before, without Watermark. I checked my host and the old deleted files are gone.
Last question do you feel I might have later problems doing it this way. I will wait to do this after your answer. I don’t see any problems now.
Thank you very much for the help.
    Walt
