Well I have reloaded Wp..with a fresh copy after having deleted files
Problem persists.

The only thing that remains is resetting of the plugins…..mmm
I have no inactive plugins.. BTB

There is no wp-config.php in wp 3.9.1
only setup-config.php
Do I delete that when I upload.

I can’t see any .htaccess files in the WP 3.9.1 I downloaded
am I missing something here?

I have not tied any of that.

I did try deactivating plugins..OMG what a mess…created all these header warnings with resultant dashboard freeze and site meltdown! etc. ANyways got around it. problem still persists. SO I have reactivated all

I run Thesis…very uneasy about changing that. Can’t believe that is causing an issue

Resetting plugins, I am not sure what the go is here..will leave that to last..especially after what happened.

I will have a go at reloading WP..see what happens!

I just upgraded to 3.9.1 from 3.8…and now all the images still are visible on the site but not in the library. They appear to have been moved to various folders in the uploads folder…and even some appear to have been duplicated.

When I go into the posts, the images appear to have no links visible…WHere have they gone…VERY STRANGE

Anyways, what can I do so they will appear in the library AND have links on the posts?

The message disappeared and with another update has not reappeared…so maybe to do with that plugin. The plugin support says its to do with WP. However if it reappears with their next update and no other, it must be an issue of how their plugin is interacting with my setup!

Huh, you were right.. I just didn’t get to the end!

The one I had was a simple one liner…I actually tried to install yours as it looked more comprehensive, but it ended up giving the site issues (wouldn’t load) so I just changed the one I had to “true”

Doing this threw up error messages for another plugin (even with PHP 5.2) but nothing came up for yours….

Yeah, I wish I could. I can’t find any mention of that WP_DEBUG in my config file

FirePHP (Firefox Firebug addon).

I use Clicks Stats for real time checking on visitors etc.

There were no issues at all a before. I tweaked some of the settings, following recommendations at https://seo-hacker.com/site-speed-basics-wordpress/

They helped me fix the problem – with no clarity about what caused this deletion. They say it is impossible for that to happen given the coding practices they use.

I have removed Minify..still a problem

Seems a bit severe to change the theme (at possibly a considerable expense) just to fix the contact form

A single word is very inclusive and will capture so many emails..so prefer not to use it.

The code – [_remote_ip] I used, but got no joy.
I went to reply to the email and inserted code…hit return……is that correct?
