  • Hello Guys,

Here’s what I get after trying to update to 4.1.1

    “Could not create directory.: wordpress/wp-admin/css

    Installation Failed”

which is an ‘improvement’ from last night where nothing happened at all. Just blank page. Don’t fancy manual update so will try again tomorrow.

I also do not see 2 updates @kwiesner

    Cheers,

    Gordon

    Hello Ragulka,

I trying to use it with a picture and the picture appears but the link does not work, nothing happens when the mouse hovers over picture. I have tried different links, all copied not typed in. I’m now using 3.7

    O/T

(It might be related to another plugin as I keep getting “The connection was reset” every time I try to do some website editing. It has just happened now. I was going to try with some plain text incase it does not work with pictures.
I will now have to wait for around an hour to get back into or even see my own website. I can gain access using a proxy server. Maybe post this problem later on a different thread).

    Cheers,

    Gordon.

    Hello Andrew,

Went to CSS creator.com forum and some smart guy called Gary suggested clearing my cache and hey presto everything is sorted. Would never have occurred to me to do that.

    Thanks for the link Andrew

    Hello WPyogi,

Got 30 errors. First said; style.css
    1482 Parse Error [empty string]

Trouble is the style.css is not numbered.

What’s an empty string. Also been searching and found this.

‘Apparently, the border-radius throwing a Parse Error [empty string] is a bug in the W3C CSS validator.

It seems to have appeared when I updated plugin.

And it’s definitely a page problem as I use plugin for my blogs and for my music releases page and it only effects the latter.

Cheers and thanks for prompt reply.

    Hello Bhishma,

    Had same problem.

Google instructions are typical Google garbage.

If you upload HTML file to www. it works. So use FTP to get to your website server and click on www to open folder and upload file. Do not upload to https://www.yourdomainname.com/ as Google say.
I have spent last two days on this and finally decided to ignore what Google say and tried www. folder and it worked immediately.
Putting it in home page does not work either. It apparently has to be put in a Header.php file.

    Cheers,

    Gordon.

Hello Daniel H.,Or anyone else who can help

Installed backwpup 2.1.4 recently and when tried to run got black box & 0% plus the following red warning

‘PHP curl functions not available! Most backup destinations deaktivated!’

Any thoughts on how to fix. (I am new to WordPress and don’t know code so any fix has to be simple for me to do)

I found some code on-line but don’t know where to put it.

    sudo apt-get install php5-curl
    sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

    Cheers,

    Gordon. I use wordpress 3.1
