In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Events cannot be updatedSame here. Serious issue should have had a plugin update by now, no?
Thank you, Serge. I’ve just now opened a ticket in your private ticket system. I had meant to do that in the first place but ended up here by mistake!
Addendum: https://cleantalk.org/my-ip/54.245.1.203 reports that a reverse lookup for the IP address does in fact return a FQDN, but “Hostname not defined” shows in the log, and I interpreted that to mean that CleanTalk tried/failed to do a reverse lookup. So I guess the question is, how can I (or will you) successfully whitelist this HTTP POST attempt?
Also, since it’s a commercial service (The Events Calendar Promoter), you might consider adding them to your own set of SpamFirewall whitelists along with search engines.
54.245.1.203 Hostname is not defined Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/74.0.3729.169 Safari/537.36
Thank you @sergecleantalk @katereji and others, I’ve installed 5.161.1-dev in place of 5.161 per your installation instructions and the red exclamation mark is gone and I don’t see any other negative outcomes. I will keep watching to see if this version is working OK. Many thanks for the (hopeful) fix!
Thank you! I look forward to the unravelling of this mystery.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Problems with DigitalOcean Spaces use as CDNThank you very much, Marko. I’m now tracking that issue in Github. Much appreciated.
Hi Jason,
Thanks very much for replying and for your explanation. Your reply,in conjuction with the engineer’s reply in GitHub, together explain clearly enough for me to understand the nature of the limitation.
My last comment is merely to suggest that the plugin documentation is augmented to include this information so that future users understand the root causes of the issue. Otherwise, to the uninformed it does (mistakenly) look like a bug in the plugin.
Thanks again.
Kind regards, watou
Thanks very much! I will keep track at GitHub.
