Thanks Caseproof,
I have unticked the “Enable Enhanced Javascript Redirect on Frontend” box and this seems to have addressed the issue.
Will unticking this box have any uninteded consequences or impact performance in any way?
Thanks
John
So not convinced this is a host side issue.

Hey Caseproof,
Thanks for your response.
I have tested your theory of the issue being on the hosting side by installing Pretty Links to see if the same issue occurred.
With that plugin a window opens and I get a popup saying “Open this page in Booking.com?” I do not get an “about:blank” page at all.
Wouldn’t I have the same problem with Pretty Links if the problem was on the hosting side of things?
I’d prefer to stay with Thirsty Affiliates so would really like to solve this issue if we can.
Cheers
John
I should add, this issue only happens when I use the cloaked link. When I use the uncloaked destination URL the booking.com app just opens directly without the about:blank page in Safari or Chrome.
Thanks for the quick response.
Just to clarify, this is only occurring on mobile.
The affiliate link does eventually open the Booking.com app at the desired page where I want it. However, prior to doing that an “about:blank” page opens in Safari (and also Chrome). This page stays open even after the Booking.com app has opened.
When I click on a link to an affiliate for which I do not have a corresponding mobile app the “about:blank” page redirects to the desired affiliate page.
Does that make sense?
Not running any ad blocking browser extensions.
When I check affiliate links on other websites clicking the link goes straight to the mobile app and no blank safari page is opened, or when a Safari page does open, this seems to automatically close after the mobile app takes over.
Again thanks for the support.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Google Analytics IssuesHi Jarno,
WP Rocket has been disabled for the past 5 days and our Google Analytics traffic has been back to where I would expect it to be for all 5 days.
As such, I think it’s fairly safe to say that’s where the issue is.
Can you provide any advice on how to setup WP Rocket to allow Complianz to work as intended while also not blocking Google Analytics?
Many thanks
John

Will disable WP Rocket and come back to you once I’ve seen what the analytics numbers look like.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Google Analytics IssuesThanks …. so should I disable WP Rocket and see if that makes a difference?
Or is there a setting in WP Rocket that can be applied to allow the script to run properly ?
Disabling it permanently won’t help my Core Web Vitals after all so I’m hoping there’s a solution where both can run.
There’s no chance this is a problem on the Google side ?
I haven’t made any changes to the analytics code since I installed Complianz (not sure if I should have).

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Google Analytics IssuesThanks for the reply Jarno,
If that were the case wouldn’t the issue have existed before Complianz was installed and activated?
I do have WP Rocket but have had no issues with the GA numbers in the past.
Thanks for the advice Michelle

Appreciate your assistance with this and all the clarification you have provided.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Attachment page indexing disasterHey @mazedulislamkhan it’s good to have some clarity with the setting.
Can you also please clarify that your advice is resubmitting the sitemap will (over time) resolve the problem of literally hundreds (and for some people thousands) of images being indexed by Google?
And if so, can you advise how long you think it take Google to de-index all the images that have been mistakenly indexed due to this update?
If there are any other actions users can take to more quickly resolve the problem of images being indexed on google unintentionally it would be good if you could advise.
