The images are part of the email, so if the emails can’t be downloaded there isn’t much you can do except extend PHP’s timeout.

If it is the attachment handing you could create an addon that skips them. See https://postieplugin.com/filter-postie_include_attachment/

I don’t have anything more for you at this time. It appears to be an issue with your mail server.

It’s hard to tell for sure, but often this means that the post is not being fully read from email because it’s too big or something like that.

you can try logging into your email account and seeing if there’s an email that is not being completely imported and deleted.

Does test config still say 68 emails? The logs say there are 0 emails.

Dovecot (your email server) may be saying there are 68 emails, but 0 unread emails.

You might try switching to IMAP instead of POP

Postie looks for URLs that are supported by wp_embed and replaces them with shortcodes so WordPress knows what to do.

When you say it isn’t working do you mean the posts don’t show up at all? Are there WP users set up with the sending emails? You can always enable Allow Anyone To Post Via Email.

Once the post has been created Postie is out of the picture. Not sure why Meta wouldn’t pick up the image.

When I use the Facebook tool it seems to pull the image correctly, but I don’t use Squirrly or any other SEO plugin.

I’ve given you two different options.

2. Use something other than Gmail

Another option is to use an email server other than Gmail (or Outlook)

I don’t know much about the Divi gallery shortcode. Is there not a way to just display all the images attached to the post?
