Sorry for the confusion.

I would like to note that being able to selectively delete an ad, and having the system delete “expired” ads is not the same thing.

Ideally, I want to be able to delete ads as needed without depending on an expiration date. Additionally, I want to retain some ads that have “expired”, so that I can renew them as needed, without having to create a new entry, by simply changing the expiration date.

These are two different and useful functions. Having the option to delete any ad as needed would be very helpful.

Follow-up question:

How can I display on one page, every ad that is currently “not expired”?

I know I need to create a Place and Block to display the ads. But, the Block setup requires a fixed number of ads to display, due to having to define a specific grid layout. For example: a 4×4 grid will display only a maximum of 16 ads. So, if there are 20 current ads that are not expired, only 16 of those will be displayed on the current page.

Any ideas?

Is the action to send stats mail to advertiser supposed to return a success or failure message to the browser?

When I try to send the email, there is no indication to me that the action worked or failed.

I am still not able to get the Advertiser Statistics Email to send when selecting an advertiser and then clicking on the send email icon.

HOWEVER… I did setup the automatic weekly email and just now received the first one of those. So, it’s clear that SAM Pro Free can send emails on my server. But, there is still a problem sending them manually.

What’s the next step to getting this issue resolved?

I’ve done more testing, stats mail still not sending.

Have disabled all other plugins. No luck.

Yes. All ads are in just one Place, and that place is for sale.

Yes. I have tried every variation of selecting the Advertiser, the Ad, and Both, and then clicking the email icon. All of these variations I’ve tested with the option in settings of “Allow SAM Mailing System to send statistical data to advertisers” set to both checked and unchecked.

Been trying everything I can think of to make it work.

Could you outline the steps and settings required to send. I don’t think I’ve missed anything. Maybe the plugin could benefit from a test send email feature?

The only thing that might be unique about my server is it runs on Litespeed. But, other webforms send email just fine. Running PHP Version: 5.3.28.

Yes. Just sent a test email using a webform.

Yes. In the ads editor for that advertiser’s ad, under Earnings Settings the Name, Nick Name, and Email are all defined with valid entries.

That’s what I did:

Advertisers >
selected an advertiser
clicked on the send email icon…

Follow-up…

Once I found that the block name was not showing up in the block widget dropdown menu, I didn’t go any further with it. However, I left the widget in the sidebar and it should be noted that it is doing what I had hoped – displaying two iterations of the sidebar place ??

So, it looks like the problem (bug) is that the block name is not showing up in the dropdown menu in the widget.

I looked at the page source code for the widget. I can see that the select option 1 is there, it just does not have any label so it does not show up.
