I’m trying to do the same thing with the sunset theme. The code is different than mentioned earlier. Please help.

Ok, I did something and now it works. Thanks to all those that replied – you have my gratitude.

I’m going crazy here. I’ve decided that GD support is incompetent. I’m am absolutely positive that my database name, user password and location are correct. I can see everything except for the password on the site and have copied and pasted the info into the wp-config.php file and uploaded it. I have also confirmed the password. Please help.

Ok, so I’ve switched over to Linux and uploaded everything. I’ve changed the wp-config.php file to correspond to my database. But, when i try to run the install.php file I get an database error that says it’s unable to connect to the database. I’ve pasted the error below. I’ve called GoDaddy and they said I have to set up tables within the database. Any comments or help from anyone?

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at mysql127.secureserver.net. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

I actaully found a thread with someone that had a similar problem. I’m switching my host from Windows format to Linux in hopes that will resolve the issue. I’ve deleted my DB and everything off my server and going to start from scratch when it is reset to Linux. If it’s still not working I will post again, but I think this will solve the problem. Thanks to everyone for their help thus far.

I’ve made sure the database name, user name and password are correct. I’ve double-checked to make sure that they are right in the wp-config.php file and I can see everything on the server. I still get a basic ‘page not found’ error page when I try to go to the install.php page. Here is what it looks like.

The only thing I can think of doing is changing the DB name and user name to the user name I use to ftp to my server. I’m going crazy here so any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry guys, but I am new to WP and blogging and need a little more specific help with this. Now that I have the code to ban certain IP addresses thanks to previous posts, I need to know where to add the code in. Do I just put it in the CSS template or is there a better place? I really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks in advance.
