prosediva, sorry to hear that! As a last resort, I reach out to ryan at austinthemes dot com. He is lightning fast, inexpensive and a genius at WP. Fixed my issue in two minutes. Also, FWIW, I pasted the wp code directly above the body tag.

It’s fixed! User error, of course, I was looking in the wrong place for my footer.php. I added your code and the map works fine now.

Nick, is my problem that there’s no </body> tag? The designer did that deliberately for the look of the theme.

prosediva, try deactivating the plugin, then reactivating it. That at least let me create a map; I just can’t see it when my post is published.

I don’t see a closing body tag, or am I missing it?

I have this same issue. The map displays fine on the maps plugin page, but does not appear in the post. I think my theme was customized not to have a footer; is that the problem?

I downloaded and installed the google maps plugin a year ago, and it worked fine. I went back to edit/update the post, and the map is not visible. This: [wpgmza id=”1″] is there instead. I went to the plugin and now have the same issue as teorlweb. The maps header is there, but everything else is blank (except an ad for the pro version). Can you tell me what happened or how to fix it?
